Edna's Bunka Site

About Me
Hello, my name is Edna and I am a Bunka Shishu embroidery teacher.  I have been stitching Bunka pictures since 1980 and teaching in HRM since 1997.

I am also a distributor of HOBI, Tokyo and Kazari Bunka Kits, Rayon Lily Threads and accessories.
What Is Bunka?
Bunka is a form of Japanese embroidery described as the art of painting on fabric with thread.  By using a special Punch Needle and a versatile Rayon Lily Thread, a variety of techniques and designs are achieved to create lovely multidimensional works of art.

Here are a few examples of this beautiful art form;
