1/19/05 Happy New Year Everybody!!!
Been along time since our last update! Things have been crazy here at the club.
Our Haunted yard was a tremendous success!!! Thanks to everyone who participated especially our Mystic Realms friends! Well winter is upon us and the club is pretty much shut down until the weather warms up. We've been doing our winter thing as usual: trips to the movies, magic tournaments, poker tournaments, board games, the usual! Just because it's winter doesn't mean we are resting on our laurels though. I have been hard at work behind the scenes at the club. I have the plot for our next event pretty much wrapped up, it's a great one, if you want to NPC let me, your club prez know. The event should be held in March, I'll fill everyone in on the details as soon as I have everything locked down. I have also reviewed your comments, suggestions, and critiques. Believe it or not I take all your input very seriously. Some parts of our club are working perfectly, some need tweaking, some are just plain broke! Well it is your input that helps me improve the club. So with that said I redid the monster manuals. The big change is that some monsters have mana and must use that mana to utilize their abilities. I also tweaked some rules in the player rulebooks. For the most part the tweaks are in the players advantage and they will further our efforts to speed up game play and make the game more enjoyable! I removed the rulebooks and monster manuals from the website due to the fact that they seem to get outdated rather quickly and it is impossible for me to keep up with the updates any longer! The latest rulebooks and manuals are available for purchase at a very small fee, and remember all monies collected go back into the club!!! Several members weapons are in desperate need of repair and winter is the perfect time to get your equipment back in shape! Folks let me be honest with you, see the weapons fairy isn't going to keep your gear in good shape for you, you have to put forth the small effort to do this yourselves! I am saying this because I scheduled several dates over the years where I set aside some of my valuable time to teach you guys how to repair and refurbish your gear! Long story short, nobody showed up and except for Dave F. nobody in this club seems capable of putting in the small effort required to fix up their stuff! I don't want to call people lazy but JEEZ!!! Now with that said if you want to know what shape your gear is in just ask me, your club Prez. Well 2005 looks like it's shaping up to be a great year for the club but we can't do it without your help!!!

The club held a huge event yesterday at john S Watson park.
Over 30 members attended and the event was a monsterous blow out!!!
All the NPC's came from Mystic Realms so the acting was incredible.
My personal thanks go out to all the MR people who came out and made this the best event our club has ever held, KUDOS and HUZZAH!!!
I was in awe of the amount and quality of roleplaying on both the NPC and the PC sides, all our members are just incredible!!!
I hope everyone had as much fun as I did. The action was fast and furious all day.
The event went over 9 hours and i think everyone walked away sore and satisfied! If you want toread up on what went of just check out the history of Murkwood for all the gory details! Well Halloween is coming up so we are trying to organize our super spooky haunted house!!!

8/17/04 IT IS DONE!!!
MONSTER MANUAL 4 IS COMPLETE AND PRINTED!!!
It features 32 new and terrifying monsters that will strike fear into all your hearts! In addition to the foul beasties over 15 new abilities have been created!
We now have an even 100 monsters to deal with and over 85 monster abilities!
The combinations are endless and should keep you fighters on your toes!
Pick up your copy of the new Monster Manual 4
and the Monster Attributes Handbook for a donation of $1.00 each!
If you want a copy of all four Monster Manuals and the Monster Attributes Handbook then I'll discount the price by $1.00 and you can have all five books for the low price of $4.00. Remember all profits go back into the club and we need $$$$ to buy material for the new monster masks!!!

8/16/04 Got a new message board up and running.

If you need your weapons fixed up for Mystic Realms I will be available this Saturday August 21st!!! bring a couple bucks for supplies! I don't want to hear it if your weapons don't pass inspection at MR!!!
Several club members participated in a night practice at Castle Doom with assasins and a fun time was had by all. Several members made a pilgrimage to the ruins Helm's Deep in the land of Dragongard. It was sad to see the stronghold in ruins but Count Doom has vowed to rebuild it! The members participted in some Murkwood battles late at night in the lands of Dragongard, we stayed for an entire week and had a blast!!! Hopefully we can get something organized in September as far as a club event goes!

6/2/04 Several of our members attended the Mystic Realms weekend and we had a blast! We NPCed for the first time ever and we got to play the biggest baddest creature Mystic Realms ever came up with! It's called the Nexus and it is litterally 20 feet long and 9 feet high! Plans are in the works for a Murkwood event in the near future. If you are interested in writing some adventures let Mark know ASAP!

Welcome to all our newest members! At the Quest event held on Saturday May 1st we had just under 10 new people sign up for membership! The club membership now stands at just over 50 members!!! Thank you all so much for coming out and joining our little organization and thank you to our older members who helped us recruit your friends!!! Check out the number of promotions listed near the top of this page, some mebers are sky rocketing their way to the top!!!
The Quest was a huge success with over 30 members attending. The plot was filled with twists and turns. Roleplaying was great and the fighting was awesome! The feast was excellent. Thank you to everyone who pitched in and helped make our biggest event ever a wonderful success. Special thanks goes out to our NPC's who all did a terrific job with what ever we threw at them!!!
This summer promises to be the biggest ever for our club!!!

4/24/04 Well I hope you are all getting ready for one heck of a great event next Saturday!!! The plot has been finalized and we have a fantastic time planned for all you who are planning to attend! Let me remind all the members who will be NPCing this event that there is a meeting scheduled this Wednesday at Mark's house starting at 4pm. Dinner will be served courtesy of Mark S and we will use this meeting to go over the plot for next Saturday. We will assign the monsters and characters you will be playing and you'll all get a copy of the new monster manuals so you can study up for the event!!! A final reminder to
ALL MEMBERS ATTENDING THE QUEST EVENT, MONEY IS DUE FOR THE EVENT THIS WEDNESDAY APRIL 28TH!!!
