VICTOR FOSADO GALLERY & ARTS ATELIER was founded in Mexico City 1941 as "Victor Artes Populares Mexicanas", by Don Victor Fosado Sr. (1901-1994), nowadays at Centro Historico in Madero 10 room 305, Pilar Fosado and Irene Ortega, keep supplying to museums and collectors, from all countries, the most unusual and masterful collection of mexican arts and crafts. In 1975 the renowned Artist and Mexican Art Promoter Don Victor Fosado (1931-2002) was invited and named, by the government, to introduce and set the cultural activities basis for the recently born city of Cancun installing, the first workshops and exhibits of

mexican folk art, and the first cultural spectacles within cinema, concert, theater and other interdisciplinary happenings by the hand of other cultural associations, as a founder member like; "The Art Workshop of Cancun", "Grupo Avante" and "Movement for The Arts and Culture of Cancun" which had install and observe, by the years, important events like "The Biennial of Modern Art" and "The Creativity Art Show" between and between other festivals and nominations. Parallel he establish his own apprenticeship workshop where the first original and local crafts where produce and "Victor Mexican Arts and Crafts Gallery" which became with the years to "Victor Fosado Gallery & Arts Atelier" as it is today.
