 | Setting up for a launch under winter-like conditions. Although the temperature at launch time was a "balmy" -5 C., the PET electronics module had been previously verified for cold weather operation. This involved cold-soak tests at -20C. for two hours. The B-200 motor had been previously proven to be winter hardy, having been fired at an ambient temperature as low as -18 C. Flight C-37 went off without a hitch, with parachute ejection occurring at t=+10 seconds, and touchdown on the frozen earth at t=+71 seconds. |
