 | The parachute recovery system incorporated a 3 ft. (90 cm.) diameter nylon parachute, a 3 in. (8 cm.) upper section of the fuselage for parachute storage, hollow aluminum nosecone with cradle arms and disc, and ejection cylinder which contained a pyrotechnic ejection charge. This system proved to be highly reliable and was very effective in deploying the parachute, even at high speed. |
