Set in a scene that started back in 1992, New York exploded with its first rave This is the setting where Frankie Bones gave his legendary speech... A concept we all know as PLUR The values of peace, love, unity and respect... This was to be a big part of the rave scene Years later, the scene has changed... People dont believe in PLUR anymore Why? Is it so impossible to achieve? Its such a simple idea People make it more complex than it is They say PLUR is dead It all adds up The people that say its dead, make it die If no one said PLUR was dead, It wouldnt be and those values would still burn strong in every single raver everywhere But thats not the case anymore So many jaded and disturbed ravers... How can it possibly exist when people go around yelling "Fuck PLUR!" It can Inside the people who believe in it Those people can make it live on as I do You might think youre outnumbered... Dont let that shut out your hopes and dreams for a positive rave scene It can happen Look at other issues in the world OJ Simpson, for example... Innocent... How many people thought he was guilty? My point proven... Now people believing in PLUR are associated with being druggies and e-tards I, for one am not an e-tard and neither are a lot of other PLUR believers I dont do drugs I go for one reason... The music Nowadays, people are entering the scene not knowing anything about it They come for the drugs, giving our scene a bad reputation With the negative comes false identities... Why be afraid to display who you really are? Are you a kandy kid? Wear your kandy with pride! Are you a junglist? Bounce all over the floor and have the time of your life! Are you hardcore?Jump in that hardcore pit and OWN IT! Are you a glowstick ninja? Get in that circle and prove it! Are you a raver? Rave til dawn! Dont let anyone pull you down! Be yourself! Why be scared to display who you are? Some people get all decked out Some people have very odd dancing styles So what! If youre one of those people, LET IT ALL OUT! Without PLUR, a scene gradually dies The idea that PLUR is dead is false When you get on the floor and dance like theres no tomorrow... When youre by your friends and never want to leave them... When you smile...When you hug someone...Thats all part of PLUR PLUR isnt dead Its as dead as you make it The more you think its dead, The more likely it will be dead I cant find one person who is completely negative Not one person who doesnt smile So PLUR has to exist and it does Maybe not in some people... but the people who are real to the scene realize it There might not be PLUR in the outside world but there is on the inside of a venue when we all get together to dance as one Why fight at a rave?Going around spewing negative comments wont get you anything Itll make people hate you Why would you want to be hated? And for the jaded ravers... Why do you rave if it doesnt excite you anymore? That doesnt make sense... Fighting at a rave...What an oxymoron... A place that supposed to promote good vibes and harmony... Taken on by disconcern and shadiness... How sad Who did you come to see tonight? Dont you want to dance your ass of too that DJ? Why not do that instead of fight Thats what I do... Doesnt dancing bring you happiness? So do it! Get in the dance circle and tear it up! Own it! Dont let it own you! Just like the scene... Stop being so shady and see what its there for The reason we rave is for just one night to lock ourselves out of the outside world Dont let the issues of the outside world affect us on the inside We are one One massive of ravers from all over the world Lets show the world who we are Lets show the world what we do Lets find that one venue on a weekend that will let the party go on They cant shut us down! Until the music stops, we will rave on forever In our hearts lives the music... The music of a heartbeat In our minds lives that brilliant techno beat... That beat that wont leave us alone The beat that goes through our heads at work... at school... and everywhere we go...The music can never stop Thats all we need...The music will keep us together... if you allow it to...P*L*U*R Avenge
