TROUMACA ONTARIO SECONDARY SCHOOL EX-STUDENTS ASSOCIATION
TOSS LEADERSHIP TEAM-NEW YORK
WHAT WE ARE ABOUT Mission Statement:
Preserve Our Past Heritage for the Good of Our Future-By Giving Back Something of Value To Our community.
Our Purpose Is To:
Give Back of Our Educational and Professional Acheivements to Our Community.
How TOSS Alumini Association Started:
During 2001, we
(Annora and Whilma) rekindled an old passion held
since the early 90's about getting involved to help the children at Troumaca Ontario Secondary School.
Special acknowledgement all of our other friends and
wellwishers who joined force with us to make the
dream of supporting our school and the children of
St. Vincent into reality. During August 2002, we
were able to return to St. Vincent & the Grenadines to hand over some educational equipment and materials purchased from our fundraising efforts and also to give the school some Math textbooks donated by Mt. Olive High School in New Jersey, USA. Additionally, the alumni team honored 13 of TOSS' most outstanding past teachers for their great
contribution toward ensuring that we got the best
education possible.

To fulfill this purpose we acknowledged the fact that first and foremost our government cannot do everything for our children and for our society; therefore, those of us who can help make a difference must do so. Based on that precept, we also acknowledge that charity begins first at home; therefore, as former students with an avid passion for education, we, the Ex-students Association, plan to connect with our extended Vincentian community, especially those abroad, so as to team-up on initiatives and projects to generate funds to effect the highest standard of education, integrity, appreciation, and pride in our school and in the respective surrounding primary schools.
We hope that all conscientious former classmates and well-wishers would join us in this noble effort by donating time and resources so that as a team we can provide leadership, educational supplies, scholarships, mentoring, recognition of distinguished alumni, and the preservation of Troumaca Secondary School rich history .
Well, we are not bashful; we encourage gifts of money, tangible goods, and/or property to support this worthy cause. We believe, as a people we will reap what we sow, and sowing good seeds in our Vincentian children will no doubt give us like fruits in the future.
Leaders in Action:
We thought it was time again to mobilize others to
join the movement to do something more progressive than just
sharing great tales about our schooldays and our
good desires to help the children of Troumaca
Ontario Secondary School. Therefore, we linked up
with a few good friends and former schoolmates
(namely: Cleo Matthews, Denise Lewis, Bernard
Burke, Samuel James (the New York team); Roslyn Blake
(Canada), and with Cuthbert James and Venda
Dember-Smith in St. Vincent to talk about getting
together for an ex-students reunion and to about moving
forward with the efforts to raise funds to support Troumaca Secondary School and the surrounding primary schools in our communities.
Much thanks also to all the other teachers whom we acknowledged atthe ceremony and to those we did not get to mention; but are out there working tirelessly to educate St. Vincent's youngsters.
We endeavor to Give Back Something of Value to St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
