Neil Bennett: Hello web-viewers. Neil Bennett again with OTR's "The Goods On." Today I have, get the camera off of me, Lita from the WWF, one of the up-and-coming superstars of the wrestling world. Lita: "Hi everyone!" NB: Also, one of the best women wrestlers out there right now. Lita: "Thanks!" NB: Let's get right to the email. Questions have been sent in over the last week. Some of them are pretty good, so let's get straight into it. Who discovered you? Lita: Well, the WWF, of course. Bruce Pritchard and Terry Taylor, who works for WCW now but worked for WWF at the time. And Dory Funk Jr. who initially worked with developmental talent is the one who sent in my tapes and made them watch it. NB: How long ago was that? Lita: That was in October of last year. |

NB: This one was on almost every email, and I just want a yes or no from you. Playboy? Lita: No. NB: What were your thoughts the first time you did your high-flying move on Raw, in front of all those fans? Lita: On Raw? My debut was on Heat, which was just as exciting for me. It was great. They didn't have any idea who I was and to hear a reaction like that, just from doing a move, it was like... cool. NB: With all the high-flying stuff you do, who do you look up to in the ring, in the wrestling world right now? Lita: Hunter, Triple H. Chris Benoit, Chris Jericho. And then my alliance with the Hardy Boyz, I mean, they mean everything to me. As well because of who is close to them - Edge and Christian and the Dudley Boys. We're kind of, you know, peers. They're people I go to for advice. NB: You have one chance to work one storyline. Anbody in wrestling history. Who would it be? Lita: Wow. My favourite moment was our story with Trish, when she was up with Hunter and I teamed up with Rocky. That was cool. NB: You've been working on your mic skills. You have a chance to steal somebody's voice, his skill with the mic. Who would it be? Lita: I like Kurt and Edge and Christian's style. They're entertaining but realistic at the same time. It's hard, being a baby-face, to do that because they can get away with almost being, like, idiots. You know, it's hard to come across without being cheesy and being a baby-face. |

NB: What made you go down to Mexico to do the wrestling circuit there? Lita: Not knowing any other way to go about it. I knew the Mexicans were from Mexico so I went straight to the source. NB: What would you be doing, if you hadn't gone down to do the wrestling school in Mexico, Lita: I think, if I had ready realized that's what I wanted to do, I'd still be trying every way to get to the WWF. If I had never realized I wanted to be a wrestler, I was playing around with bands and stuff then, so maybe try to be in a band. Something in entertainment still. I like the travelling and being on the go. It's just my personality. NB: No chance of doing the Vampiro thing, the Insane Clown Posse thing and then doing the wrestling as well? |

Lita: I don't know. I think we have our own talent in Chris Jericho. He's got his band going on. We've got K Quick and his rap stuff. Jeff Hardy is actually getting into music. And we've got Smackdown Records, so I think we could do okay. I think it's great. The only thing you have to, because we are NOT musicians but we have the means to put it out, we can kind of end up putting out some horrible stuff because the fans just want to see it. Then, as soon as we're not popular anymore, it's like, do you remember when Lita tried to sing? That was horrible! NB: We're on the internet. The internet is huge now. Have you ever found out something on the internet that you didn't know about yourself? Lita: Oh, all the time! If we have some spare time, we go, let's cruise around on the internet and see what we've done this week! Who I'm dating, or where I'm gonna pose. All the time. It's funny. It used to upset me. I remember calling someone saying, it says I'm dating you and that I was a former prostitute. And they said, look, they're talking about you. That's all that matters. Don't worry about it. When they're not talking about you, that's when you worry. NB: Let's get into some questions that we do every day on The Goods On. This is word association. I'm going to give you a word and I want the first thing that comes into your head. Lita: Okay! NB: Bull riding. Lita: Me, one day. NB: Pee Wee Herman. Lita: He's awful. NB: Pamela Anderson. Lita: Beautiful. NB: Amy Dumas. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Lita: Real. NB: Best part of a man. Lita: Ummmm... Abs, if you have any. NB: Worst part of a man. Lita: Their feet, usually. NB: What is your guiltiest pleasure? Lita: Actually, and this is gonna sound like a cop-out, but it's true. Eating junk food really late at night. I love it! NB: PJs or Lingerie? Lita: Nude. NB: That works well with the next one. Whipped cream or ice cream? Lita: Both. NB: Okay, no you gotta tell me - about the tattoo. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Lita: It's not really that exciting (rolls up her sleeve). It's like the God of Wrestling or something... I went to Europe with a Eurorail pass. We stayed there for five weeks. I worked hard so I could take five weeks off and travel around, and just came back with a souvenir. Someone else had got in touch with the same guy, so I knew his artwork and stuff. I showed some things, just said, something like this but just close the book and go with whatever is in your head. There's actually a huge Polynesian dragon wall poster behind him that he was staring at while doing it, and he'd probably been staring at it for the past year and a half ... So it just got going and that's what happened. I said, just let me wear a short-sleeved shirt, a real short-sleeved shirt, and still have it covered and just go out with it. NB: Tell us what's up with you and when the WWF is back in Toronto. Lita: We'll be here on March 17. It's a house show and I advise everyone to go who's never been to a house show because they're really different from TV. Some people don't like them because they don't have all of the pyro, and the big TitanTron and stuff, but actually a lot more people talk than normally do because we're not on a strict time schedule. We'll even go out there and go "Hey Howard," (feigns stealing the microphone), "you know what?" And we'll just get on the mic if there's something to say. And we can interact with the crowd a little bit more because we have a little bit more free time and - I love house shows. They're a great learning place for us, and a great time to interact with the fans. NB: What can we expect from you? Lita: In the future, I hope to work up to doing more matches. They try to protect us a little bit because we're all still learning - thank God for that, but we're all really trying to work together to really develop a base and that's what I want to do more of this year is wrestle more matches and make them look good. NB: Thank you. Lita: Thank you very much. NB: Thanks and good luck. |
