Born in Melbourne, Australia on May 28th 1968, Kylie first came
to the British public's attention from her appearance on the
soap Neighbours. She released a cover version of Little Eva's
Locomotion which was a big hit going to number 1 in Australia
and England. Kylie was now signed up to the hugely successful
production team of Stock Aitken Waterman.
Kylie's sister Dannii, herself a pop singer though not achieving
the same level of success has had some singles in the British
charts. The press claimed that there was some rivalry between
the two but this has never been substantiated.
In the 90s Kylie went through a phase of different
collaborations in order to try and shake her squeaky clean
image.
