Puppy Sirius' First Day of School
September 12, 2002

On September 12, 2002, Sirius attended his first Puppy Class with the Eyes of Hope, the Essex County Chapter of the 4-H Seeing Eye Puppy Project.  He really did well, thanks to the training he has been receiving from Brian.

PAPD K-9 Officer Dave Lim and his K-9, Sprig,
visit the Eyes of Hope Puppy Class
October 3, 2002 was a special evening for the puppy raisers and their dogs. Port Authority Police Officer David Lim and his bomb-sniffing K-9, Sprig, visited their Puppy Class and put on a wonderful demonstration.  The Club presented Officer Lim with a statue of "Buddy" (the first Seeing Eye Dog), from The Seeing Eye, along with acknowlegements that a Seeing Eye Pup has been named for Lim's K-9 partner, Sirius, who was killed in the collapse of the World Trade Center Tower Two on 9/11/01. Officer Lim, himself, was caught in the rubble of the towers for more than 5 hours before being rescued.  He thanked all the puppy raisers for their kind thoughts and the great work they do raising dogs for the blind.
