Biography:
Little is known about Samuel Macleod's youth. There’s no record of a boy matching his description in local birth or school records. "Samuel Macleod" may be a pseudonym, or he may have systematically erased all records of his childhood.
Some early records say Samuel followed his best friends, and joined the U.S. Marine Core. Samuel had ambition. Ambition to rise within the military.
He fulfilled his ambitions for rank by quickly applying for and being accepted into the Marines Sniper Program, code-named TeamTribal. As a unit commander, Samuel led his men into extraordinary circumstances in Iraq and Afghanistan. It was during these operations that his high ideals came into conflict with harsh reality. As a sniper he was politically manipulated, given contradictory orders, and Samuel watched as his unit’s effectiveness was impaired, and forces on both sides of the conflict committed horrible atrocities.
When his time was up, Samuel chose not to re-enlist. There were no more good guys or bad guys. Only corrupt leaders and terminally naïve followers. Samuel decided to be neither.
With a skill-set suited only for a career in the military, Samuel took the best option available outside the Marine Core. He joined the IRA.
His time in Ireland’s legendary Irish Republic Army is no secret, however. Early reports of his performance are glowing; he sought the most dangerous assignments in one of the harshest and most unforgiving environments on earth. The IRA have a reputation for hard living and Samuel fit right in, at first. Soon, however, his hunger for life-threatening danger could not be satiated by his service in the IRA. He was regularly cited and once suspended for brawling with his teammates, on-duty and off. When he got in fight with superior officer's, leaving the older men in the hospital, he was honorably discharged.
It is rumored that a British assassin named Jennifer Mui tryed to kill Samuel just after his leaving the IRA, it is rumored that they now maybe romantically involved.
Weeks later, he joined the infamous Knights Templar. With Samuel Macleod, the Knights rose to become the most feared anti-crime vigilantly unit in the world, and Samuel was, not for the first time, jailed. Official records do not make it clear whether he escaped or was released, but in either case he is still a wanted man in England, and cannot return home to Ireland.
Exiled, Samuel became a mercenary, and in the mercenary lifestyle, he found his true calling. He spends money recklessly, depending on his demand as one of the most sought-after mercenaries in the world to keep his cashflow positive. His reputation for being the single most destructive mercenary in the world is, if anything, understated. Even those who know his reputation, even those who have worked with him before, are surprised at the sheer levels of demolition Samuel wreaks upon his environment. He does not relish killing, but he doesn’t mind it, considering it a necessary by-product of destroying buildings, and entire cities. |
