Purpose : To provide inexpensive way to allow more boost by tricking your wastegate / actuator. To be able to acheive more power by increasing the boost. |
Disclaimer: Do this at your own risk. Overboosting may cause severe damage to the turbo and engine internals. Recommended range to increase boost over stock factory settings are 10 - 25 %. Example : 0.9Bar ( Stock ) to 1.1Bar ( Increased ) increment of 25% over stock should be safe. However, this is only my own opinion. I will not be responsible for any damage. Please refer to a professional if you insist of increasing higher boost levels. |
Information After installation it is recommended to turn off all the lever before testing the car. Aftermarket boostgauge ( mechanical or electronic )will be necessary to monitor boost. Installation is based on a Mitsubishi Lancer GSR with 4G93T engine. Intercooler pipings may differ from car to car. Please practise caution when running with increased boost. You may be able to acheive desired boost in the 3rd gear easily. Floor the gas pedal and wait until you reach the desired boost. If it is too high from your target, immediately release the gas pedal and readjust the lever(s). Always test in a road which is safe for you and other users! |
I connect the fuel filter in between the intake manifold and the valve cover. Usually most people will connect the oil catch tank via valve cover and the intake piping to the turbo. I've connect both with 2 fuel filters. =) All I have to do is to replace them once it is filled with oil. |
