| The concert started around 8:45 pm it ended around 11pm...our local artists sang first, then one of our top concert concets artist, Gary Valenciano, after his song numbers, ASOS sang 3 songs, Their last song was the opening theme song of Meteor Garden 1. Then Vanness was next..The people screaming wildy he sang 3 songs - Looking For Juliet, Imagine Ten of You, Body Will Sing. and an additional song which i dont recognize, and looked like it was a Christian song, He added this song because he was touched by the very euphoric warm response of the filipino audience. He was grateful because his songs are mandarin and yet everybody was screaming excitedly so he decided to add an english song. He emphasized that it's not included to orginal line-up that's why he has to sing it in acapela...He was so gracious about that. He appeared suprised about warm reception of the audience...Then Ken sang 3 songs - One Fine Day, Here We Are, an english song that I'm not familiar with. Afterwards, Ken called in Vanness again for their duet - You As A Friend which was their last song...The audience are all excited when they sang, both the duet and on their invidual song numbers... I'm quite dissapointed though they sang very few songs - it appeared that they were mere quests and it was our local performer's concert...Anyway, I still enjoyed the show because all the artists gave a good performance... I just felt that people were dissapointed bec. the organizers were disorganized. The tickets were expensive and yet they used just one main entrance for VIP seats and general patronage...Me and my sister have feared for our life because we were body to body with other people trying to get inside...It was reported that people are around 30,000 to 40,000. I have a VIP seat but suffered nonetheless...Ken said during the concert that people should take care of themselves...I think he meant that one should not push each other to avoid stampede..I just found out that there was indeed a stampede- 8 people where rushed to Medical City Hospital..This was reported on the Philippine Daily Inquirer, dated Sept. 15, 2003 small part of the story was on the upper left part of the front page... Kris Aquino one of the most popular talk show host here was given access to exclusively interview ASOS and F2...the interview are being shown part by part in some of TV shows of ABS-CBN ( the channel which airs Meteor Garden )..the interview will continue to be shown today until friday...They showed what they ordered for their breakfast (their leftovers!). F2 ordered huge breakfast before they left, it was reported that Vanness and Ken have their breakfast together...Vanness was on room 1009, Ken was on 1010. The room boy who was assigned to up keep their room said that F2 is neat and tidy with their room. ASOS and F2 left the next morning around 10:00 a.m..i dont know about the details because there were no news about it yet...they stayed at Edsa Shangrila Hotel ( not in Shangrila Makati ) , few streets away from the concert venue.. It was also reported that as early as now local producers are negotiating for their return ( including Jerry and Vic ) next year around March... The interview of Jerry Yan as a Bench Model was aired yesterday afternoon in an entertainment show " S-Files" in GMA ch 7, a rival ch. of abs-cbn... Jerry said he also hoped to be in the Philippines come late October or November,... |
