Originally released in cellophane, there are good copies of this album around.
At left is an excellent copy, at right is the back of a poorer condition copy
with the cellophane that has saved it somewhat. One of the most interesting of
the North American releases, this album featured George's song If I Needed
Someone for U.S. and Canadian fans. Bottom: This is the mono version of
the Butcher cover, courtesy of www.beatlelyrics.com as we don't have this item
in our collection. This rare cover was pulled from record stores, quickly after
it was released and contributed to the controversy and mystique surrounding
this album. Hit after hit is listed on this LP, as almost every song is a
Number One classic. Day Tripper/We Can Work It Out was the single off
this album but Nowhere Man and Yesterday were enormous hits. |
