Red Lambert - guitar/vocals Alan Watson - saxophone Gil Lucas - piano (died 199?) Lenny Blanche - bass guitar Mike Felix - drums/vocals Felix, Blanche and Lucas formed a jazz trio together in 1961 and spent the next two and a half years working pub gigs in London backing the blind singer Lennie Peters. Peters left for a solo career and with the advent of "beat" music in 1963, they decided to switch to pop and added Lambert on guitar, and called themselves The Migil Four. Towards the end of the year the quartet release a single, "Maybe". At the time of the singles' release the group were resident at the Tottenham Royal Ballroom, having succeeded the Dave Clark Five in the gig, when they came to the attention of Kenny Ball. On his advice, they acted a saxophonist to the line-up - Alan Watson who had formerly been with Georgie Fame's Blue Flames. "Mockingbird Hill" scraped into the top ten in the summer of 1964, but, apart from a minor hit with the follow-up, "Near You", further success eluded them. The group eventually reverted back to their jazz roots and worked the cabaret circuit before disbanding in 1968.
