San Diego is a city with a dozen freeways. This is one the reason why everyone shuold aware that in this city the most effectively method of transportation is the car because unfortunately there is not a subway. However, there are different kinds of public transportation that you could use. There are two different options: Bus and Trolley.

Before to come in San Diego, an interantional student should plan first how long he/she is going to stay to choose a method of transportation. Wether you decided to own a car, the very first thing that you need to do is theCalifornia Driver License . Because the Californian laws are very strict, such as a drunk driver that can be put in the jail. Additionally, the driver license can be used as an ID, which is required in every club and bar to get in.

Bus &. Trolley   Taxi Service

Bus
The trolley is like tram on railroad that has two lines. The blue line starts from Mission San Diego to San Ysidro/Tijuana(border with Mexico). The Orange line start from Downtown to Santee Town center. The bus line covers a good part of the city.

The first option is the taxi cab, which is not the chipest way, furtheremore it isn't easy to get one on the street unless your are in down town.

Car Rentals  

There are different options to rent a car in San Diego. Depends if the car is needed to go out of city or not. In the case the car is rented to take a trip it is better to use an international company to be safe far away from the city. Otherwise, it is possible to rent a car from a local company for cheaper rates.
