My name is Michael and I am Phoenix's personal journalist. I follow her to all her matches and jot down notes so that I can give YOU the fans a detailed description of just what went down at our dear Firebird's most recent challenge! Cactus Pete's hosted the first ever Ladies Triple Threat Elimination Match in AWF! But our Fabulous Firebird was very busy this nite, ladies and gentlemen. Although her match was yet to come, Phoenix had a BIG SURPRISE TO UNLEASH! After her music hit, Phoenix came out and announced that she would be the special guest ring announcer ! Phoenix first came out and belittled the crowd in her classic arrogant fasion. She then announced the first wrestler,debuting from Burlington Ontario , Sean King....man Phoenix can be mean! Then she got totally excited and said it was time to announce her BIG surprise....she said the thing that would change wrestling forever!
Phoenix announced that she had a brother, ARIZONA!!!!
Arizona had been personally trained by the Firebird for many years. She would not let him step into the ring until she knew he was ready....and now was the time! So Phoenix stayed at ringside and cheered on her brother in his first AWF match ever! (NOTE: Arizona's "look" is strikingly similar to Phoenix's main squeeze Joey Knight...it looks to me like Arizona looks up to Joey big-time) Phoenix interfered the whole match and...surprise surprise...helped her little brother get the 1...2....3!!!!
Then it was time for the BIG THREE WAY ELIMINATION MATCH! Tracy and Felina came out and shook hands...ready for a fair contest. Then came the terror from Buffalo, Phoenix, accompanied by her always vocal manager, Jason Sensation. The match started out quick with Felina and Tracy getting the best of Phoenix.....then Phoenix tried to tag in Jason! The referee contested that this was a three way and Jason COULD NOT get involved! While the referee was occupied with Jason, ever the opportunist, Phoenix cheap shotted Tracy! But control did not stay in her hands for long. Tracy turned things around and tagged back in Felina...but before Tracy left the ring, they delivered a BIG FLAPJACK to Phoenix!!! (ouch!!) Felina worked Phoenix's arm with a series of arm wringers and leg drops. After the control waivered back and forth, Felina and Phoenix both went for the clothesline and BAM! Both girls were down....As Felina inched her way over to tag Tracy...Phoenix grabbed her ankle and pulled her away.....then she tagged in Tracy...with a BIG CHOP! Phoenix ran outside and jumped on the announcer's table to enjoy the AWFshow! Tracy and Felina did a series of technical moves and pins....the mutual respect was very obvious here. Then, just when you thought it was safe to enjoy the show...Jason and Phoenix were at it again! Jason distracted Tracy long enough for Phoenix to roll her up for the quick pin! Tracy was eliminated!
Phoenix pounced on Felina. She beat on the slinky beauty with hard slams and hair pulling. But Phoenix made the fatal mistake that Felina was waiting for...Felina reversed the Firebird caught her with a boot to the stomach and gave her the big DDT! Dazed and confused, Phoenix struggled to get to her feet only to get up just in time to see Felina jump off the top rope! Phoenix caught the cat swung her around , and delivered the Perfect Plex and (with a little help from Jason holding Felina's legs down)....
Phoenix pinned Felina and came away with the BIG WIN!!!!
Congrat to The Firebird!
Phoenix seems to be on a roll ! With her brother and her fiancee by her side, it seems like there is no other place to go but STRAIGH TO THE TOP!! Who knows what Phoenix has in store for us next time! (see upcoming shows for details!) Thanks fans!
