AUS is currently seeking qualified individuals in the following fields to join its team:

Human Resources Director
Directs the provision of comprehensive Human Resource support, service, advice and records for the benefit of the University’s Chancellor, Deans, Directors and employees, which includes employee relations, compensation and benefits, recruitment, training, etc.

Applicants must have a degree in a relevant discipline with minimum 15 years experience in all aspects of Human Resources both in "hands on" and leadership role including, managerial HR positions in a leading and reputable learning institution or other organization. Fluency in English is a must; Arabic is a major advantage. Highly developed inter-personal, counseling and public speaking skills, and writing ability; numeric and computer skills.

Human Resources Officer
Primary role is providing excellent customer service. Performs administrative tasks and projects relating to all phases of human resource services such as employment, relocation, promotions, transfer, termination, recruitment benefits and compensation. Implements and interprets HR policy with customers. Performs data input, accesses information, runs reports and performs research for customers using the HRIS.

Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree or 5 years directly related experience in HR. Previous experience with relocation of faculty and staff would be an advantage. A good working knowledge of MS Office, Internet software and HR System. Fluency in spoken & written English is a must Arabic is an asset.

Lab Instructor of Computer Engineering
The candidate should hold a MS degree from a recognized university in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field with a minimum of 2 years teaching experience in Software/Database Labs at the undergraduate level

Experience in the following areas: Oracle setup, development tools and administration Software Engineering tools (e.g., Rational Rose UML), administration of UNIX/LINUX systems, System Programming, Web technologies and DB servers. The successful candidate is expected to have excellent command of English.

Senior Marketing Coordinator
The position holder will be responsible for marketing the CEC programs to Individuals, Corporate and Government Accounts, deliver sales presentation to key clients in corporate and government accounts, prepare periodic sales reports showing sales volume, potential sales and proposed client base expansion, monitor and evaluate the activities and products of the competitors, handling students services including customer service and preliminary handling of complaints. Successful candidate must posses proven track records at meeting Marketing & sales targets, should also be experienced in the training industry.

The minimum requirement is a bachelor degree (Preference would be given to holders of a master degree in a relevant field), plus a minimum of 7 years in related fields. The candidate must have excellent communication skills both written and oral. Fluency in spoken & written English is a must, Arabic is highly preferable.

Competitive Sports Coordinator
This position is responsible for organizing Basketball training sessions for university students and staff/faculty, coordinate and schedule sports activities, train, supervise and evaluate sports trainers in the conducted sessions, prepare sports programs for improving the student performance in variety of athletics, attend all sports games on and off campus, attend meetings, in/out the university to discuss all concerns and needs of the university sports programs, distribute, explain and collect the sports programs that are given to all trainers, students and staff/faculty., assist in any sport project within internal sports as requested by directed supervisor.

The successful candidate should have university degree (major of physical education / preferable basketball coaching) plus six years extensive experience in sports; organizational administrative and excellent communication skills in written and spoken English (Arabic is an asset), good knowledge of computers and information systems and highly developed interpersonal skills.

Assistant Activities Coordinator
The position will assist with the administration of Extracurricular activities, follows-up on students’ activities on campus, arrange special counseling and orientation programs for freshmen students, helps in liaising with the University publications about its activities, assists in obtaining discounts from suppliers, vendors etc., and insures conformity with university regulations and procedures, helps in the coverage and maintenance of Student Center, helps in conducting training and development for student organizations, helps in maintenance of records and proper communication with student organizations, assist in liaising with student employment on campus.

The successful candidate must have a bachelor degree, excellent English writing, communication, and administrative skills, prior experience with administering extracurricular activities, excellent knowledge of MS word, Banner, Access, Adobe, Quark express and other software related to extracurricular activities, flexibility and the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Dormitory Supervisor-Male
Supervises the assigned Dormitory and ensures welfare and safety of residing students and protection of University assets. In addition, provides counseling & guidance to dorm residents, receives visitors, attends to reception office at the dormitories, and ensures implementation of rules, regulations and disciplinary code in the conduct of students in the dorm. Maintains relevant files & records.

The successful candidate shall have a four-year degree with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience in the field. Computer literate, excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential, fluency in English is a must & Arabic is an asset.

Computer Laboratory Technician
The position is responsible for maintaining computers and related equipment in instructional language computer labs and the writing center while ensuring the security of the labs. He or she also installs and provides basic training on CALL software, assists instructors and students in computer lab classes, and enforces university policies and procedures on access to laboratories and the utilization of computers. The technician also supervises and monitors students in the labs during open access hours, provides technical support both in the labs and for the faculty and staff of the Departments of Languages, English Writing and Mass Communication, coordinates with the IT department for better user support service in his area, and assists the CAS administration with computing issues as needed.

The successfulCandidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related area and have at least 2-4 years experience in an IT work environment. They must also have the ability to communicate effectively English, work well with others, and take initiative when needed.

Workshop Assistant
The position will be responsible for the general maintenance and of the workshop resources; safety and safety education of students and faculty; and assisting SA&D faculty in teaching students in the workshop and in doing workshop related projects.

The ideal candidate should have good organizational skills, well-versed in the safe operation of power tools by all users of the workshop, basic first-aid, good English communication skills, with ability to clearly articulate shop use and enforcing safety policies.

Physics Laboratory Instructor (Temporary part-time)
Responsible for giving an introductory laboratory lecture, supervising the laboratory sessions, grading reports, administering laboratory quizzes and practical final exams as well as performing other tasks as assigned by the Departmental chair. The responsibilities will be for the freshman Physics sequence.

Successful candidate must hold a Master's of Science degree in Physics and have some experience in a similar position. This position is part-time so the candidates must already be in possession of a residence visa for the UAE; Candidates who are employed in the UAE must provide the university with a 'letter of no objection' from their current employer, which have the appropriate governmental approvals. Employment Visas are not provided to temporary staff.

Photography / Printmaking Technical Support Assistant (Temporary part-time)
This position is responsible for maintaining the inventory, establishing and maintaining a safe and secure equipment storage area; and provide support to students outside normal class times.

The successful candidate must have a working knowledge of photography / printmaking production processes; working knowledge of Mac platform and graphic software (fluent knowledge preferred). Preference will be given to candidates with a bachelor’s degree in a Visual Communication program or equivalent and a current and valid driving license.

Day Care Center Teacher (Temporary part-time)
A qualified teacher is required to work with children aged 2 moths to 5 years. Early childhood education certificate is essential plus a minimum of 2 years experience.
