Bansidhe- This translated this means "Faery woman".Though most people classify a banshee as a ghost they are actually nature spirits which are normally found in wooded areas or near bodies or water. They are better known for being omens of death or misfortune. Rhiannon's mother is the Banside Ceridwen (pronounced Keridwen). In folklore Ceridwen was known as the dark queen of the lake.

In all of this it is also worth mentioning that the spelling of Rhiannon's words are usually spelled as she would say them with her accent (nevah=never hih=here). Though some names were for the most part were spelled differently in the time frame in which Fae was born. I have read up on this and am trying to stay true to it. For example David=Daffyd  or Owen=Owain Christian=Christaint Allan=Alin.
