HMSS Hephaestus is the Manticoran shipyard orbiting Manticore-A, the Star Kingdom's home planet. Hephaestus is the largest shipyard in the Kingdom and also houses the top officers in BuPers and BuShips as well as the Navy's JAG division. No officer in the Royal Manticoran Navy could ever have a career that didn't take him to Hephaestus for a visit.
