Hello and welcome to The Pretty Pixies Site. This site has everything from pictures of faeries, to faerie adoptions in The Pretty Pixies Adoption Agency. Feel free to look around and remember to have fun! Don't forget to take the poll, go to the bottom of the page and take the rest of the polls, and sign my guestbook before you go! :)

Whats new? Well, basicly, I made a "whats new" page just for this specific reason. So, if you ever wanna know what has been updated and so on, just check there. :) Also, in recent responce to a lot of emails and guestbook messages I've been getting, this site does not have pixies, yet. I have been unable to scan any pictures because my scanner is broken. But I hope to make a wonderful section about pixies, as well as plenty of other beautiful creatures, as soon as possible. I hope that helps all you guys looking for pixies and finding only faeries. :)

This is a site devoted to all types of fairys and so if you like fairys and wanna know more about them this is a good place to be. :) But of course I will not have everything so if you still crave that little extra knowlage about the fae, might I recommend going to your local library, book store, or online book store and finding Faeries by Brian Froud and Alan Lee or Good Faeries/Bad Faeries by Brian Froud. They are both excellent books for those who are interested.

There are many diffrent ways so spell fairy, including faery, faerie, farie folk, fairfolks, farefolkis, pharie, phaereis, farie, fairy, fairie, and fairye. The place that they live, the faery realm, also has many names: Faeryland, the Celtic Otherworld, the Underworld, the Blessed Isles, Avalon, Tir-Nan-Og, Tir-Nan-Sorcha, the Astral Realms, the Innerworld...lots of names for just one place. As Brian Froud says in his book Good Faeries/Bad Faeries, "all are aspects of Faeryland in shifting, prismatic guise."

Fairys are divided into four major groups based on the elements: earth(gnomes, brownies, and kobolds),water(nixies, lamias, and undines), fire(salamaders, daemons, and fire drakes) and air(sylphs, peries, and all winged fairys). I have made a brief paragraph (~*for you're enjoyment*~) about each in Elemental Fae. So if you want to know more about the catagorizing of fairys, go to the link on the bottom of the page. :)

******************I would just like to say I owe almost all my knowlage of fairys to the wonderful books by Brian Froud and Alan Lee. I would just like to take the time to thank them for that, even if they never see this, Thank you!******************
