Finally, a week after they were supposed to come in, my AFP test came back....thank goodness they made it worth the wait. Everything came back within normal limits! I was so relieved. Once less thing to think and worry about.
March 25th, it was time for our level 2 ultra-sound at the hospital. The days leading up to it, I couldn't sleep. I was so afraid we were going to find something horrible. My nerves were pretty much shot. We were also hoping to find out the gender of this little one. We felt it would help us to get excited, and feel better about starting to get ready for the baby's arrival.
Once again we were being watched over because everything looks good with the little one! They looked at everything even the kidneys, gall bladder, stomach, everything! It was pretty cool..... we got in there and of course I had to pee but I didn't over due it with the drinking (they said I had to have a full bladder!) ......you walk in the room and directly across from the table is the bathroom!! With the door wide open and the toilet just calling my name!! I made Jim shut the darn door!!
They spent a lot of time on the brain which was making me nervous but they assured me all looked just fine......the bummer is our little one had it's legs crossed the WHOLE TIME!!!!! UUGGHH!!!! The tech looked as much as she could and said that she is 75% sure it is a GIRL!!!! I was shocked!! I was so sure it was a boy... all of my thoughts and dreams have been of boys.... very strange.... but we still aren't sure, so no buying pink stuff yet....
