| fakefight formed in 1995. originally under the name of the Inbreds. shortly after finding out of a British counterpart to the Inbreds the name was changed to The Mafat Conspiracy. however, this title proved to be kind of long as well as being stolen from a nintendo game (don't ask what we were thinking...) so, yet again the name was changed to The MFC. the Inbreds started out as a really bad Oi! band, and in that time the band had morphed into a pretty good streetpunk band. we traversed through the whole melodic harcore thing and into another stage. yet again, as in all punk/harcore bands, the name changed and the members stayed. we changed into fakefight and our sound has evolved (hopefully) to a more complex critique of people that suck, and things the government and secret societies would rather us not know about. our sound has become more metal, but has remained hardcore with the occasional grind beat. fakefight has once again entered a new stage. Ben left the band to consentrate more on college/internships and has since graduated. Jon has graduated from culinary school in Poughkeepsie, NY. He is currently working on an electronic project and is in a rock band called Quintana Can Roll with Dan. Dan also relocated to Poughkeepsie, NY he is currently attending post-secondary school. Andrea graduated from college and lives in Red Lion with her girlfriend and is in a band with 3 members of the now defunct Death By Nostalgia. fakefight recorded a demo of four songs in September as a three piece. That demo led to a 7" on Agitprop! Records that was released early 2002. fakefight has made the unanimous decision to continue the band in an undefined way by continuing recording and making their collaboration last as long as fate will allow. home |
