X is a manga by the ever-so-talented group, CLAMP. Its plots revolves around Shirou Kamui and the fate of the world. Two sides, Dragons of Heaven and Dragons of Earth, fights for to decide whether the world should be saved or destroyed. Yet again, another manga filled with yummy bishounens. ^_^ It has been reccently made into a movie sometime around 1999-2000.

X ::character information::

::Shirou Kamui:: Kamui is 1 of the 2 main characters. He leads the Dragons of Heaven. His name means 2 things: 1) one who represents the majesty of God or 2) one who hunts the majesty of God. He and his mother left Tokyo 6 six years ago. He returned to Tokyo after his mother died in a fire. The reason was because his mother told him to right before the flames engulfed her completely.

::Monou Fuuma:: Fuuma is Kamui's twin star. Whatever decision Kamui makes (whether to be a DoH or DoE), Fuuma will be completely against him. Since Kamui became a DoH, Fuuma became a DoE, therefore becoming the Dark Kamui.

::Monou Kotori:: Kotori is Fuuma's sister. She, Fuuma and Kamui were very good friends when they were kids. She was a potential dreamgazer, as Kakyou had told her.

::Sumeragi Subaru:: Subaru's character was first seen in Tokyo Babylon, only he was 16 (we think) years old in TB and he was 21 in X. He's quiet and often serious in X, while in TB, he's the opposite. Everything changed after something happened in TB (telling you guys would be spoiling it ^_^). Subaru is the 13th head of the Sumeragi family, a very famous onmyouji family in Japan.

::Sakurazuka Seishiro:: Seishiro also exist in Tokyo Babylon. He is the leader of the assassin group, Sakurazukamori. The group is enemy to the Sumeragi family. Seishiro and Subaru both know each other...very well (reasons for that would be spoiling you again ^_^;). His right eye has been blinded in TB.

::Other DoH Characters:: Other Dragons of Heaven includes: Arisugawa Sorata, Kishuu Arashi, Nekoi Yuzuriha, Kasumi Karen and Aoki Seiichirou. Sorata was the first DoH to appear, along with another DoE character (Yuuto Kigai). He was told that he was destined to die for a woman. And he chose that if he were to die for a woman, might as well be a beautiful one! Therefore, he chose Kishuu Arashi. Arashi is the Hidden Shrine Maiden of the Ise Shrine. She wields a sword that can come out of her hand. Nekoi Yuzuriha appears somewhere around manga 3-4. She has a spirit dog (otherwise known as an Inugami) called Inuki that follows her. Only those with magical powers can see Inuki. Kasumi Karen is a soapland girl. She appeared to pass along the message to Kamui (from Magami Tokiko) to protect the Holy Sword. Aoki Seiichirou is an editor at Asuka (this is actually a real-life magazine that X is currently running in). And it also seemed that his name is the same as that of the real-life editor of Asuka magazine! ^.^

::Other DoE Characters:: The other DoE characters include: Kigai Yuuto, Yatouji Satsuki, Shiyuu Kusanagi, Nataku and Kuzuki Kakyou. The 1st DoE we see is Kigai Yuuto. He was fighting with Arisugawa Sorata. Yatouji Satsuki is an computer expert. At the age of 14, she was able to manipulate the Beast. Shiyuu Kusanagi became a friend to Yuzuriha after he passed her by on the street, petting Inuki along the way. These 2 don't know that 1 is a DoH and the other is a DoE. Nataku is neither male nor female. He was created based on a girl named Kazuki Toujyou. Nataku has no heart nor emotions. Kuzuki Kakyou is a dreamgazer. He first make an appearance in manga 7. He only appears in dreams because he's sleeping in the real world. He said that he will not wake up until the Promised Day. Kakyou's only wish is to die and it seemed that Dark Kamui is the only one who can grant that. In the movie, Kakyou was replaced by Asagi Shougo.
