~~~~Welcome~~~~
I will try to explain
a little about major depression
in the hope that anyone reading
this will be able to
look at
anyone they may know with the illness
with a better understanding of what
that person is going through
I have had the illness all my life
It has been really bad
at times and better at others
but it has never been gone
Depression
conquers controls and deletes
any and all feelings of joy
and happiness,
leaving the person empty of anything
but sadness,darkness,loneliness and desperation
Like a worm- virus that enters your computer
depression works
on the brain of the body involved
leaving the person not in control
but being controled by the illness
It works its way into the life of that person
stealing every ounce of happiness
and replacing it
with an uncontrolable wish to die
and to never feel this horrible way again
It is an unhappiness
that goes to the core of your sole
and you don't know why
     It fills you with unshakable debuilatating panic
and leaves you unable to funtion
much like being in an earthquake
and the earth opening up
swollowling up everything you had built
that was meaningful
in your life and leaving no trace of anything
but ruins,devastation and no future
If you were buried alive 6 feet under
and you knew no one in the world
knew where you were
and you are gasping for air but
there is none anywhere
then you would have an idea as to
what depression feels like
Now if this all sounds horrible beleive me it is
In no way is this illness just  the blues
You cannot get out of it by
getting out of the house
It is an imbalance of a chemical in the brain
In no way can the person
help what is going on with them
any more than a person  with cancer could
