CHAPTER ONE

17 year old Allison Rowland opened her red locker and began pulling our books. The locker was so messy that she could hardly find her math and History textbooks. Allison was more likely to find last weeks smelly gym clothes than those two. Fianlly, she found them and pushed her shoulder lenght blonde hair back as she placed them in her bag. She started to get up to go to her car.

However, before Allison was barely to her feet she felt a strong hand on her shoudler. "Hey Ali."

Allison smiled. "Hey Mark."

"What's up sweetie?"

"Nothing much . . ."

Mark slid his hand around Allison's small waist. "Well, how 'bout going out tonight?"

"I don't know . . ." Allison played with the shoulder strap of her backpack. "I have a lot of homework. I need all the study time that I can get."

Mark made a face. "Oh. Well, make up for it by going out with me tomorrow night."

Allison looked at mark's sad puppy dog face. She just couldn't say no! "Fine." She agreed. "But if homework is pilled down on me like it is today, don't have a fit when I can't make it."

"Alright." Mark grinned, happy to get his way.

"Right now you can walk me to my car if you really want to . . ."

Allison took Mark's big hand in her dainty, small one and together they walked down the hallway.

All heads turned when Allison and Mark walked together. Practically all the guys in school had wanted to date Allison Rowland at one time or another. She had a perfect face and body, which was tan even in the winter. Allison's beautiful long layered blonde hair framed her face perfectly. Many people had even told her that she looked like Britney Spears. Every girl envied Allison's good looks, as long as her long-time boyfriend, Mark Thomas. Mark was well . . . the kind of guy that every girl would ever want to date. He was hot, nice, athletic, and smart. Anyone could see his muscles a mile away; Mark was a born athlete. He had perfect hair, perfect nose, and a smile that could make any girl melt when he flashed it.

They made their way over to Allison's silver Mustang. Mark pulled his girlfriend close and softy kissed her lips.

"See ya later Ali."

"Bye Mark. I love you."

The two kissed once more. "I love you too, baby."

As Allison drove home, she thought about Mark. She loved him so much, it was beyond words. They had been going out for, what was it? Two years about. Ever since their Sophomore winter dance. They were perfect for each other. Allison had been voted "Most Attractive", and Mark had been thier Homecoming King for two years in a row. Yes, of course got into fights, but nothing that big. Mark was always nice to Allison, and she could trust him with anything. Allison wanted to be with Mark forever.

* * *

Popping in the Goo Goo Dolls CD, and singing along with "Dizzy", Allison turned on the TV and started flipping through the channels. She needed a little break before setting forth on her homework. She found a channel that had James Van Der Beek featured on it! Of course she liked Mark, but wasn't it ok to have other little regular crushes on movie stars? There were so many hot guys in the show business like James and others like Leo DiCaprio, Matt Damon, Ricky Martin, Ben Affleck . . . Allison loved them all.

RING!!! RING!!!, Allison's phone rung loudly.

"Uh, I'm coming. Stop ringing!" She guessed it was Nadia called to talk. Allison was in no mood to talk, she wanted to be alone.

"Hello?" Allison answered.

"Hello, is this Allison Rowland?"

"Yes it is, may I ask who's calling?"

The man on the other end cleared his throat. Allison hoped it wasn't a jealous guy asking her out on a date. "This is John McCall from the Jive sweepstakes. Allison Rowland . . . you have just won a trip to go on tour with THE BACKSTREET BOYS!!!"
