They say that everyone has a book in them. I'm not sure if that's true, but if it is, here's mine. I guess mine would be a sort of motivational/help book. A book that would let anyone know that they can get out with their kids, and try new things. This sight has been just sitting here for a long time.

My intrestes seem to go in spurts. For a while working on websights, then genealogy, then, well, let's just say I got into the job force and the kids are growing. Not much time for the old websight, until the kids discovered it and asked why they were still in kindergarten? Eeek!

You might ask me how did I get into camping? I bet your parents took you, you're thinking? Nope, you'd be wrong. The first time I ever when camping, was not with my family at all. It was with my church young womens' group. I was probably 13. My leader was a mom just like you and me now. Her camp name was Dublo7. She had 6 kids of her own. -infact she took us camping with the baby on her hip! If a mom of 6 can take 6 girls that aren't even hers camping and teach them the fundamentals of camping, I think you to can learn. I'm going to warn you though, camping won't always be fun. In fact for the first few times I started camping as a young mom, I had to keep telling myself, I like camping...I like camping...

Camping eventually grows on you. Or maybe it's the smiles that you see on your kids' faces that makes it all worth while.

I'll tell you, camping can be some of the most work too! Everyone wants to go, but who has to plan everything? Who does the shopping, planning all the meals, and packs the bags?
Sorry dad, it's most likely not you.
You're out camping now. Who's still doing the cooking?
I can guarentee it's not the kids! Oh, then there's fishing. Honey, I have to just get in a bit if fishing...
So if you thought you were going to get a nice relaxing weekend and get off easy, well, think again.
