It's just not a camping
trip without Smores!
S'mores(depending on how many people you want to serve, and how many s'mores each will eat) 1 bag of large marshmallows* Box of graham crackers Several chocolate bars Put marshmallow on green-peeled stick**, or squre, and toast until desired browness. Take and break graham crackers into halves. Break chocolate bars into pieces. Put marshmallow and chocolate bar onto graham cracker. Add remaining half of graham cracker and make into a "sandwich". Smash together and eat. Enjoy! Tip 1*: To keep an opened bag of marshmallows from sticking together, at a few spoons of powered sugar and keep bag closed tightly. It's rumored that "name brand" marshmallows won't stick together as easily as "store brands", but not prooved or disproved by me!Tip 2**Choosing the wrong stick could be a deadly mistake! Make sure you know the variety of tree or shrub before eating any food off any stick. Example, a newlywed couple went camping, choose a stick off an Olendar bush. It turned out Olendar is very toxic. The couple enjoyed their last S'more and died durring the night by poisioning. |
Yes, you can make good ice cream while camping. It reminds me of a frosty from Wendy's!
Ice CreamIngredients:1/2 C milk (any flavor) 1 Tablespoon sugar 1/4 teaspoon vanillia (or other flavors) Ice Cubes enough to fill 1/2 gallon bag. 6 Tablespoons Rock or table salt 1 pint size freezer bag 1 gallon size freezer bag. (make sure zipper is closed securely, or try one of those slide zipper bags. Having your ice cream fall out onto the ground is no fun!) newspaper or large towel. Directions: Place milk, flavoring, and sugar into pint bag and zip securely. Squeeze to mix. In large bag, add the ice cubes and top with salt. Inside the large bag place small bag (that's been zipped closed). Zip closed the large bag. Wrap "package" inside many sheets of newspaper or towel. Wrap like a tootsie roll. Shake entire package for about 5 minutes, then unwrap. Your ice cream is now ready. I suguest having a bowel or bucket filled with cold water to dip quickly your unopend bags of ice cream and wash hands before eating your ice cream. You won't enjoy a salty taste! Have a spoon ready and enjoy. |
