This page is dedicated to my Dear Husband Michael and his enjoyment of fishing. If he had his way, most of his free time during the spring and summer months would be spent down at some lake fishing. I haven't quite figured out why he enjoys this so much. This page is written by me, second hand of what I hear has happened on his fishing trips.
One time, I got to hold his pole while he went back to camp to grab something. I thought I might have had a fish, so I reeled it in. I had nothing, so I decided to cast it back out. Well, I didn't quite understand how the rod and reel works, and ended up loosing both the worm and the hook and all. It was pretty disappointing. That's OK. I don't eat fish anyway!
Just for the record: We live in northeastern Washington State, so all lakes mentioned will be in this area unless otherwise noted.
Normally when he goes fishing, he doesn't go alone. He takes his brother-in-law. They have a good time and normally catch their limit. They have been to many lakes around the area. The favorite for the past couple trips is Waits Lake. They have night fishing there. He bought a light and is trying some new techniques. So far I think that he has only caught Rainbow trout, most were kind-of on the small side. Waits Lake is said to have some 'record size' German Brown.
Recently my Mike took our oldest son James on his first fishing trip. They were gone for a couple of hours and each caught their limit of 5. I hope to have some pictures scanned of this trip some time soon. This trip was to Clear Lake.
At Sullivan Lake all that was getting caught was Sucker fish. There is supposed to be some record size German Brown in that lake, but they are well fed according to the camp ground host. We were told of a technique at Gart Sports, when you catch one of the sucker fish, immediately cut off it's head and cut into around 3 chunks. Then attach to hook and throw back quickly. German Browns are said to like this method. We will have to wait and see.

Please come back soon!
