We enjoyed Noisy Creek so much the first time, that we decided to come back. By ourselves. Well, we didn't exactly go by ourselves, we envited some friends to come and stay at the same campground with us.
We did the meals together and had a good time. It was different this time. No stress. We had a good time with our companions.
This time, we picked the right time of year to go this far north. We went in August. It was actually hot up here. The kids played at the lake's edge and we didn't freeze to death like the first trip. It didn't rain not once.
We had to go into Mediline Falls to get ice. We stopped off along the way to see some of the sites. We saw Mill Pond. See some pictures.
It's a nice historical site.
Lots of marshmallows were roasted. And a good time was had by all. Berries and wildflowers were in full bloom. The stars were out and were very bright! Only problem, we were told by the camp hosts that Noisy Creek would soon be turning into a "Day Use Only" site. Let's just say that we are very unhappy to hear this news. Now we'll have to find a new place to go camping. Maybe we'll try some places in north Idaho?
Plans for summer 2001: Check out Idaho sites, camp somewhere and save for the big vacation in 2002!
Plans for summer 2002: Yellowstone.
