Hello, this is a site to introduce our family to interested aupairs.

We are a family of four. We have 4 year old twinboys, named Rick and Bas.
You can visit our Pictures-page to have a closer look. Bas and Rick are not identical twins, and you will be able to tell them apart after a very short period of time, if you cant already. I (Annick) am usually the one taking the pictures since I am not particularly fond of being in them *grin*.

If you havent read it yet, you can read about our previous disastrous experiences with aupairs on the www.aupairs.co.uk site, on the Discussion Forum under the 4 aupairs-4 disappointments-thread. Please dont think we are a very bad host family after reading. It is just that we havent had any luck with aupairs yet, but refuse to give up! We still believe, think and hope that somewhere out there there is a girl who wants to be a Big Sister to our boys, and a full member of our family. Since you have to keep thinking positive, I always tell myself that (from a statistical point of view) we have a higher chance of finally getting a great aupair with each bad experience we have had so far :o).

Rob works (more than) fulltime as a Tax Advisor/Lawyer. I havent gone back to work, but will do so once we have found an aupair and when she has arrived into our home, and of course after we have shown her around. I am a secretary originally, and will go back to work as one too.
However, I am also trying to do some home-studying to have a little career perspective. We will leave the house around 745-815am and be back home again around 545-615pm.

We are currently looking for an aupair from around January 2000, who can stay with us for a year, or at least longer than 6 months.

They have just turned 4 on September 1. Since then, they are attending kindergarten. This school is a 2-3 minutes walk from our home, since its only at the end of our street. Their schooldays are:
Monday: 845-1145am and 1330-1530pm
Tuesday:  845-1145am and 1330-1530pm
Wednesday:  845-1145am (afternoon off)
Thursday: 845-1145am and 1330-1530pm
Friday: 845-1145am (afternoon off).
We ask of our aupair to get them ready for school in the morning (ie. get them
dressed, give them breakfast and take them to school). After school she has to take care of them until we get home. Right behind our appartment there is a park, in which there is a very nice playground. The kids love to go there and play around!
In the park there is also a little field with all kinds of animals on it. I take them there to feed them some salad, bread etc. They eat out of your hand (the animals, not Rick and Bas...hehe).

She will have her own room with tv, fax and phone in it. The room is approximately 10 feet by 10 feet. Not a very big room, but a cosy one. She will share the bathroom with us.

We might ask her to cook some simple meals for herself and the boys sometimes.
We do not expect this every day, nor do we expect her to be able to make gourmet meals (5 courses or so).  We hope she is able/willing to do some ironing, maybe vacuuming the house once or twice a week (the whole appartment doesnt take any longer than 25 minutes to vacuum), and maybe a little general cleaning up (ie. run the dishwasher or such light housework, no heavy household duties required).

If you want more information about Delft, our home town, please take a look at the "Digital Town of Delft" or the hometown-site of Delft *S*. More information about Holland can be found at this site about Holland. A location map, you can find it here.

If you are still interested, please take a little of your time to answer our questions.
