Summer 2000 We are thrilled to introduce the first issue of the

Totally Steven! Journal.

We want to thank all the Webbies that have supported us since day one of our Totally Steven! website. You have been incredible and we hope that we can meet all your expectations for a great web site in honor of our favorite and talented Steven Culp. A lot has happened since our site went on-line on April 22nd, 2000. In this newsletter we re-cap everything that we have seen Steven appear in, what the fans have said, what updates our web site has gone through, and the two occasions we've met with Steven recently. We want to thank all of Steven's fans for making Totally Steven! the best and largest Steven Culp site on the net. We could not have done it without you! Most of all, we want to take this opportunity to thank Steven for his kind words about our humble website and for always remembering his fans. It is a real pleasure to be a Steven Culp fan!

A Day On the Set Of JAG

Last month two JAGniks had the great opportunity to spend a day on the set of JAG. What made this even more exciting was the opportunity to meet several of the stars of the show. Epecially thrilling for the die hard "Webbie" was the fact that our very own Steven Culp was on the set filming that day! Here are the stories of their incredible day on the set of JAG, as the cast and crew filmed the first episode of season 6, titled "Legacy".

On the set with Webb Meeting "Webb"

A Moment With Steven! by Sandra Martinez I had a brief encounter with Mr. Culp after his performance on stage on June 18th. As usual, he was charming, friendly and a real class act. He made some very nice comments about our site and thanked us for the many hours we spend working on it. Having met Steven on a couple of previous occasions, I was not surprised with his kindness. All Steven Culp fans know just what a great down to earth person he is. However, this was my mother's first time meeting Steven. She was instantly swept off her feet by his talent on stage, his good looks, but most of all by his natural charm. She was impressed by Steven's friendliness and unpretentiousness. Steven never disappoints. (And yes, ladies he looked wonderful!) Steven has been the talk of her senior citizen's club for weeks! I guess there are no limits to his appeal. From 7 to 68 yrs old, he attracts them all. During our brief conversation, which took place at the Interact Theater (see below for further info) Steven expressed his appreciation for the site and the support from his fans. However, we are the ones who want to thank him for always taking the time to share with his fans and for his willingness to keep the fans informed about his career. Thank you Mr. Culp! Steven's Clayton Webb We were able to enjoy our 'pragmatic' Webb one more time on JAG's season finale. We missed Webb terribly during season 5 of JAG. (Due to Steven's work on the upcoming major motion picture "Thirteen Days") Even though it was a short appearance, Webbies were excited to see Webb in "Surface Warfare". With his usual sarcasm and out of his three piece suit, Webb was in great shape and looking very hot with a new look that included suspenders. We did not get enough Webb this season, but we appreciate TPTB's efforts to include our favorite JAG character, in the season finale. We can only hope that we will get lots of JAG's sexiest man next season!

Webb In Season Premiere Of JAG!

It has been confirmed that Steven Culp will appear in both parts of JAG's season 6 premiere, which will air on Oct 3rd. In an episode that promises to be exciting and full of suprises. Webb travels to Russia! The episode is titled "Legacy". Webbies are very excited about this great bit of news! Court Is In Session! We did not get enough of our favorite spook this year, but in return we got to see Steven in the courtroom several times. With 2 appereances on Ally McBeal as attorney Dixon and one appearance as attorney Pentry on Family Law fans got a chance to enjoy Steven as the sexiest attorney on the small screen. If that was not enough, Steven also portrayed a JAG attorney on stage in the play, "The Caine Mutiny Court Martial". Steven was Navy Lt. Barney Greenwald. An aviator who is assigned to JAG after a crash. (sound familiar?) Steven plays a great attorney, and we think that he could give Harmon Rabb a run for his money!. Murder, She Wrote By Carol Preflatish "Murder, She Wrote" fans were waiting for this movie for a long time. Finally, on May 18, 2000 CBS aired "A Story to Die For" starring the wonderful Angela Landsbury as mystery writer, Jessica Fletcher. However, not only MSW fans were happy to see this movie finally hit the network, Steven Culp fans were equally thrilled, if not more so to see Steven on the small screen again. His absence from his CBS show JAG has left his fans hungry for any glimpse of this great actor that we can get. And, we weren't disappointed in this movie at all. For several great captures check out the MSW Page
Steven's Filmography Page Our SC Filmography Page now contains most of SC's appearances on television and movies. From "QuickSand" to "Pacific Palisades", from "James and the Giant Peach" to "Dead Again" we have searched high and low. Our filmograhy page is almost complete with character information and captures on just about every role Steven has played. (Thank you Kathy for your endless hours of work!) Our latest additions include "Donor Unknown" and "Hooperman" The SC Gallery now includes tons of captures from most of his appearances as well. Enjoy! We are offering most of these priceless finds, in our TS Video page. Please check the Video Page for further info.

"13 Days"

"Thirteen Days" has a new release date. Rumor has it will be in theaters on December 20th. Several lucky fans have been able to enjoy the film's 'trailer'. (Trailers have been seen with the movies "Gladiator", "The Patriot" and "Space Cowboys") One of the site's webmistresses was able to catch a screening of the movie. However due to legal constraints, (viewers have to sign a release that prohibits them from talking about the movie, we can not have any spoilers posted on the site/newsletter. But she says this: "I can't wait to see it again!" The August issue of Newsweek Magazine has a big article on the Cuban Missile Crisis in it. It includes a sidebar about "13 Days" (with a little picture of Costner, Greenwood, and Steven). (Thanks for the info Meg!) If you want to refresh your memory about the incident or if you are too young to remember, check this article out. It is filled with lots of historical information. The magazine gives the movie a good review. The last sentence of the review reads: "This is a movie that will make people think hard"

Site Updates

The Theater Page has also been updated. As most of you know, Steven took part in two plays last month with the Interact Theater Company. Four SC fans had the opportunity to see the plays and they all agree, Steven was magnificent! In our "Steven Speaks page, Steven answers a fan's question about television vs stage. New Webb captures have been added to the STWOA, Embassy, Yesterday's Heroes and Gypsy Eyes. Gallery Pages
We are also proud to be the first and only Multilingual Website for a star of JAG. We now offer pages with information about Steven in Spanish and German. Thanks to our bilingual fans who made this possible!

Steven Culp, The Musician?

By Kathy Arnold It has been my pleasure to do the screen captures for the Totally Steven! site. Each SC movie I have found has it's own story, but the quest to find "A Climate For Killing" has to be the funniest. After finding out at the IMDB site, that "Steven Culp" appeared in this movie, I started checking on line, calling video stores, and sending email trying to find this movie. One night it came to me to check Ebay. I key in the title "A Climate For Killing" and it pops up an auction for the movie that ends that same day. Well, of course, I placed my bid and monitored the auction until it ended. (Sending Sandy progress emails the whole time) I won the bid and it was on its way to me the next day. I put the movie in the VCR, let it play and listen for Steven's sexy voice. Well the whole movie played and no Steven! I go to the credits and "Steven Culp" is in the band "FASTGUN." So I rewind the tape and get to the band. I don't see Steven, well maybe could this one band member be him? I snap some caps and send them to Sandy to look at as well as some wavs of the band. Nope none of them are Steven. I go back to the internet and look for Don Barthelemy who according to the credits sang in the movie. Well it turns out there is a "Steven Culp" who plays keyboard for the group FASTGUN. From the article the group still seems to be together. If you have considered renting or buying this movie, don't. It is not our Steven..... unless Steven has this secret musical life it was not him in this movie. Just in case, we have asked Steven about this funny bit of trivia and we will let you know as soon as we hear anything about it. Next time I'll tell you guys how our search for Steven's appearance on "Hooperman" took us all the way to England!
"Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to our "Top Webbie", Happy Birthday to you! ... and many more!!!!"

Happy Birthday To Donald Bellisario!

The Totally Steven! Home page and the Webbies, want to wish the big man at JAG, Mr. Bellisario, whose birthday was August 8th, a very Happy Birthday. We wish him the best, and thank him for bringing our favorite character of Clayton Webb to life! (May we blow the candles on the cake and wish for more Webb?)
Remember:

"It's a Webbie world! Everyone else is just living in it!"

Do you have a question? suggestion? A question about or for Mr. Culp?
