Summer 2001

"Thirteen Days" out on DVD!
Steven Culp fans are running out to the
video stores as the DVD for "Thirteen Days"
comes out today, July 10th.
We are especially thrilled because the release
of this incredible movie, will be on the brand
Infinifilm, which is described as a ground-
breaking DVD brand by NewLine Cinema.
Like we reported in our last newsletter, this
new brand of DVD will provide us with lots of
additional goodies! The creators of Infinifilm
claim the DVD is of superior picture and sound
quality.
The viewer will also have access to special
content relating to scenes that are currently
playing. We understand for "Thirteen Days,
there are approximately 60 additional clips with behind-the-scenes
footage, interviews, related stories, and much more.
Two publications have already picked "Thirteen Days" as their "pick" for prime
video release. "Entertainment Weekly" (7-13-01) features the release of the
video in its "What to Watch" section of the magazine with a half page article.
Movieline (8-01) also leads with "Thirteen Days" in its "Movies at Home" section.
The magazine calls it "THIS MONTH'S RENT". "Cool, tense and a helluva lot more
honest about American politics that any Hollywood film of the last few decades".
The article also states that Bruce Greenwood and Steven "play Jack and Bobby
superbly."
So, what are you waiting for? Run, don't walk to the nearest video store to
purchase "Thirteen Days" and enjoy our wonderful and talented Steven Culp
one more time!
Make sure to send us your reviews and opinions for our next newsletter,
scheduled for the Fall 2001.

Bits & pieces about "Thirteen Days"
"Thirteen Days" opened on the #2 spot
in Australia.
The "Japan Kennedy Society" has said
that they were very impressed with "Bobby"
in "Thirteen Days." The President of the
Society said that he has seen many actors
portray RFK, but that Steven was just
wonderful. He added that Steven did the
best job and doesn't believe anyone ever
will top it. We couldn't agree more!!
To celebrate the release of the video of "Thirteen Days", we have added
over 30 captures to our "Thirteen Days" Gallery! It is a great way to
remember this incredible movie and the scenes in which we enjoyed our
talented Steven!
Thanks to KathyA for all these great captures.
Mutiny
On May 15th Webbies got one more chance
to see Steven Culp on JAG. But he was not
portraying our favorite spook this time.
Instead he was attorney George Griffin.
So what happened to Webb? This episode
was a special one for JAG, where our regular
actors got to portray different characters
back in the 1800's.
We were thrilled to see Steven! We can never
get enough of him, but what was up with that
costume he had to wear?! Webbies will never
forget that orange bow or the long hair. It
was unanimous, we want our sexy, handsome Webb
back and without those colonial clothes!
Maybe next time they should hire Mr. Culp's wife to outfit her husband.
(Mrs. Culp, a costume designer, worked in the movie "Gore Vidal's Lincoln".)
Steven can look wonderful in Colonial clothes, but please no more orange bows!
Mutiny Gore Vidal's Lincoln
Mutiny Review
By CherylR
Webb, but no Webb? No sarcasm? No ulterior
motives? No cell phone? There is still a suit,
though. Kinda. I think you can call it that.
In Mutiny, Webb is not Webb rats!, but he is
George Griffin, lawyer for Captain MacKenzie
who is facing, among other things, 3 charges
of murder. It's George's job to prove that it
wasn't murder, but the only course of action
the captain had under the circumstances. He
proceeds to do that, and do it well.
The Navy's position is that the captain over-
stepped his bounds by hanging the three men
instead of returning them to the states for trial.
It is George Griffin's job to prove otherwise and he does. By bringing
up several times mutinies that would have been well known to the people
of that time period, he re-inforces the fact that the other mutinies on
the other ships could've started out the same way; sailors making threats
that others treated as jokes, when they were not. The captain had no choice
but to take the course of action he took; the captains of the other ships
didn't take the threats seriously and paid the price, one with his life,
for not taking a harder stance.
His main adversary in the courtroom is the Admiral,
or in this episode, the Commander. George/Webb may
be a civilian lawyer, but he more than holds his own
against the Commander. George/Webb manage to turn the
tables on the Commander several times. They butt heads
once again, but this time *Webb* wins! Like we webbies
had any doubt!
I learned several things watching Mutiny. One was the
color orange, if it is used for articles of clothing,
needs to be used in moderation and not in big bows.
Another was male pattern baldness was not a concern for
the men of the 1800s. The most important was that "Webb"
is a very good lawyer! (a totally unbiased opinon, of
course. ) I liked this episode; it was fun to see
everyone out of their regular characters for part of the
show. Webb, who isn't Webb is OK as long as its just once
a year! & that once a year isn't the only time we see Webb!
Fans' reactions
I kind of liked SC with the hair, very unWebb like.
It was kind of fun to see him playing something else
besides Webb."
"I thought Webb looked great.
I loved seeing him as a lawyer."
"Oh MY GOSH! I did not even recognize him! He looked
so un-Webb like! Damn he is a good actor! From sexy,
mysterious Webb to long hair, funky Griffin! WOW!!!"
"The BOW--the ORANGE BOW-- I couldn't take my eyes off
of it during SC's closing remarks to the jury. I have
no idea what he said...I kept staring at the BOW--THE
ORANGE BOW! It was so perfectly tied!!! I looked at
the other people's bows and they were droopy!!! How
did he get his so perfect???"
"I have to admit, I couldn't take my eyes off the Bow
either...LOL It was so distracting!"
How to Make a Monster
Steven's HBO movie "How to Make a Monster" opens October 13th! Any news that
we hear on this project will be posted on our mailing List, the projects page
of the TS site, and our next newsletter. (scheduled for the Fall)
In our last newsletter we were happy to announce
the Webb Screensaver. It was a huge hit and we are
glad that all fans are enjoying it.
This month we were thrilled to announce the "SC/Webb
Wallpapers". This is a collection of great wallpapers
put together especially for "Totally Steven". The
only problem will be deciding which one to use!
This is what some of the fans on the list had to say
about them:
Ohmygosh! Excellent!!
Wow! these are totally awesome!!
Thank you, thank you!!
The wallpapers are very good. I can't decide which
one to use first!!
I can chose two. One for my computer
at work and one for my laptop. Hubby
won't let me put one on our computer
at home. Wonder why????
The lock of hair one will probably go on my laptop,
where I don't have many icons. But, for work I'll
have to choose one without so many pictures. I don't
want to cover up any of Webb with all those icons.
We are happy that you are enjoying them!
Filmography Update
In our last newsletter we were happy to announce
that we had new additions to our filmography
section of the site. The additions were Steven's
old appearances in "Mike Hammer" and "Sisters."
Now, we have also added his appearance on "Newhart."
If you did not get a chance to see them, remember
to check out our video page to get copies of any
of SC's appearances. You can also read the reviews
for two of these appearanes in this newsletter.
"Mike Hammer"
Episode: "Sins of the Father" By Carol Praflatish.
Steven’s appearance in the episode of Mike
Hammer, called "Sins of the Father" was a
holy experience. As Father James, Steven
portrays a priest who appears to be not as
caring as his predecessor, Father Dressler
who was murdered in the beginning of the
episode. Father James chose not to carry
on the work of Father Dressler by also
protecting and watching over prostitutes
in the area. He wanted the "hookers" to
move out of the church that he has taken over.
There are plans to build onto the church and Hammer questions Father
James about the murder. Father James tells Hammer that everyone knew
he and Father Dressler had opposing views on how to run the church.
Father James was interested in money and power & Hammer believed that
the murder was about power & money.
Hammer suspects Father James and started investigating him. He is not well
liked by some of the people at the church and the nuns hate him, Hammer’s
associate found out. Father James comes to see Hammer and tells him another
prostitute has been murdered. He then tells Hammer why he and Father Dressler
had their differences. Father James tells him the homeless belong in shelters
and it’s not the church’s responsibility. Hammer does not like hearing this.
Father James becomes upset and tells Hammer to leave.

"Sisters"
Episode: "A Perfect Circle"
by Carol Preflatish
In this episode of Sisters, Steven plays Graham
Pressman, president of the Board of Directors of a Teddi
Reed's clothing design company. After recovering from a
coma, Reed is the target of the board. They no longer
think she is capable of producing the superb clothing
designs she's famous for. After a long speech at the
board meeting, Pressman requests her resignation.
Later that night after the meeting, Reed goes back to
Pressman's office. She barges in and shows him her new
designs. She wants her job back. Too late, Reed has
already been replaced and her replacement is in the
office with Pressman, Kiri Adams. Reed and Adams have
a history. When Adams was a beginning designer, Reed
critiqued her drawings and told her she did have talent,
but her designs were out-dated. She needed to work on
her own ideas and not try to imitate other designers.
The next day, workers are all around Reed as they clean
out her office. Kiri is also there barking orders and
tells Reed she is a "has been." Her designs are out-dated
and the fashion world is passing her by. All this does is
kick Reed into high gear. As we see in a later scene, she
still has the desire and talent to draw award-winning
fashions. She has the drive and determination to prove
them wrong.
Steven's appearances were all too short in this episode
of Sisters. He appears in only 3 scenes, but his talent
most definitely shows through. He is very convincing
in his two speeches to Reed about why she cannot design
for her own company anymore. Personally, I would have
liked to have seen his character show up in Reed's office
while the workers were moving things out. Seeing another altercation between
those two characters would have added much more to the show. To sum up, this
was a great performance by Steven in this show. It just needed to be longer.
Sisters is no longer shown on regular network television, but can be found
on the Soap Opera network. Check your local listings for day and time.

The Palace Thief
As many of you know Steven Culp will be in the film "The Palace Thief."
The film is scheduled to open in Feb. 2002.
One of our webbies was lucky enough to watch some of the filming that
took place last month in New York. Here is her exciting story!
THE PALACE THIEF By Darlene Tozzi
Rolling! Background! Action! Cut! This was
life at Emma Willard School for two weeks
in May. That is when the cast and crew of
“The Palace Thief” rolled onto campus and
through true Hollywood magic transformed the
all-girls’ school into St. Benedict’s, an
all-boys’ school. This is not the first time
Hollywood has spun its magic on campus. “Scent
of a Woman” starring Al Pacino & Chris O’Donnell,
filmed in part at EWS, also turning it into an
all-boys’ school. Just one look at the beautiful,
Gothic architecture and well-landscaped grounds
tells you why this campus catches the eye of film
directors and producers!
For me, it all began early this year when word
started to spread about a production company that
was interested in filming a movie on campus.
Then one day, people started pointing out a group
having lunch in the dining room, who later turned
out to be the director M. Hoffman (A Midsummer’s
Night Dream), producer Andy Karsch, the production
designer Patrizia Van Brandenstein (Amadeus) and
the director of photography Lajos Koital (Malena).
I found it all very exciting since I had not been
employed here when “Scent of a Woman” was filmed.
Those that were thought, “Here we go again!”
Though I was thoroughly fascinated by the whole
concept, I was pretty much taking it all in stride
(for now, little did I know) when a posting came
through on the Yahoo group for Webbies at the end
of March. It said that our dear, wonderful Steven
had landed a part in “The Palace Thief”! MY GOSH!!
I didn’t know which direction to turn in first!!!
The thought that I might actually meet the man
himself sent me spinning!
My first reaction was to send an e-mail to "Totally Steven" and ask if this
was true! Well, of course it was! Why else would they post it? To torment me?
How could they know I worked on the very campus where they were filming part
of the movie? (This wasn’t my reply, just what was going through my head at
the time! Scary, isn’t it?) My answer came back that, yes, it was true and how
lucky for me to be right in the middle of it all!
Fans get together for some fun
Last month some Webbies and Bruce Greenwood fans got
together for a day of fun. After exchanging emails
for several months due to our favorite actors both
staring in "Thirteen Days", four fans got together
for lunch, a trip to Hollywood, dinner and a small
concert by Gregg Henry. (Of "Family Law" and several
movies including "Payback").
We had a great time talking about the movie, Steven
and Bruce. We only had one disagreement, who is the
"best" out of the two? We came to an agreement.
Webbies will always hold SC in first place and they
will hold BG in their #1 place.
Sounds like a good idea! Thanks to Barb and Pamela
for a real nice day.
"Nurse Betty" DVD Released
The DVD, video and rental for Nurse Betty has been
released. Steven makes a short cameo appearance in
the film. He looks very un-Webb like with a beard
and gotee... and laughing!
A quick run-down of the latest updates on the site
We now have an "Upcoming Projects" page.
Any information we receive about television,
movies, or theater projects for Steven will be
posted on this page.
Our Video Page now offers Steven's appearance in
"Sisters", "Mike Hammer" and "James & The Giant Peach."
Fan Fics, Fan Fics, everywhere fanfics!

that Webbies have been writing fans fics right and left! Fun, creative Fan
Fic Challenges took place for "Father's Day" and "Fourth of July."

A special mention of Dallas Thompson is in order, as she has written the largest

Keep those stories coming Webbies! Its a good way to beat the summer Webb-less blues.
Only a month and Webbies are missing their Webb and asking for more!
We had a great Webb season this year, but of course we can never have
enough! It has been barely a month and Webbies are already begging for
more of our favorite spook!
"BRING BACK CLAYTON WEBB!!! Please..."
"Now Webb..I'd love to see more of him. He is such a good
catalyst for all the fun action/spy/adventure stuff that
happens on Jag. I'm hoping he uses Mac & Harm again on some
kind of investigation...let them go undercover. And please
don't waste the wonderful Webb in an episode like "Mutiny"
or put him in an all-cream colored suit....More Webb!!!"
"I would love to see more Webb. Those early episodes
with scenes between him and Bud were great!"
"Webb, yay, that's more like it. I want Harm,Mac and Webb on
more tough assignments."
"I totally agree, MORE WEBB!! A catalyst for all the fun
/action/spy/adventure stuff!!"
"Webb is a complex character. Sometimes I wonder if his Mother

could do a spin-off together."

there have been many, but he is so good)"
