NewOrleans
Was my favorite New Orleans site, and still has all sorts of information, hotels, online reservations, restaurants, calendar, but it's more advertising and less information than it used to be.  Still has good hotel discounts through TurboTrip.
InsideNewOrleans
General site with lots of different info, news, weather, calendar, and great food reviews.
NewOrleansNewsAndCommunityLinks
The Times-Picayune and other community links, including the infamous live cams.
Audubon Institute
Aquarium and Zoo, good enough even if they didn't host the Cajun/Zydeco Louisiana Swamp Festival in October.
EccentricNewOrleans
Eccentric?  New Orleans?  Who would have thought it?  Lots of off-the-wall stuff, interesting and sometimes bizarre characters, and the unusual that is not so unusual in this city.
Regional Transit Authority
These folks run the buses and trolleys.  For five bucks you can get an RTA pass and ride all day.

The Bienville House
This is my kind of French Quarter hotel.  Great location right on Decatur, near 201, Carmelo's and O'Flaherty's.  Always had pleasant stays here.  You can get great off-season, e.g. Xmas, discounts through Turbo Trip.
Southern Comfort
Elephant Walk
Never stayed at any of these B&B places, but their web sites look really cool.  I must give them a try one of these trips.
Lists of hotels, with descriptions and links.
French Quarter Reservation Service
Robert and Lisa have used this service and recommend it for French Quarter stays.
CAUTION!
Beware of unlicensed "brokers" offering great "insider" deals.  Some of our Fans have had bitter experiences.
Southern Yat Club
AKA The Southern Yat Hysterical Society.  We share links with these folks, who appear to be every bit as crazy as I am.  If you don't know what a "Yat" is, check this out.
Crescent City Farmers Market   Very nice web site.  Good opportunity to pick up some wholesome food.  Check out the Recipe of the Week and other recipes.
