The 2001 Calendar



In the 2001 Weiss Kreuz Calendar, the above image is featured for the months of November/December. The calendar is considered official merchandise of the anime, and points to at least a friendship between Schuldich and Farfarello, and maybe a little more.

Considering the personalities of Schuldich and Farfarello, what amounts to the cuddling shown in this image wouldn't just be 'casual', or 'platonic'. Farfarello is generally anti-social, and has verbally confirmed in the Dramatic Precious CDs that he doesn't like to be touched. And, yet, he doesn't seem to be moving away from Schuldich's touch. True, he is restrained in his straight jacket, but Farfarello is a trained killer, and a mere piece of cloth with buckles on it wouldn't stop him from revolting against such close human contact. The deadpan expression on his face can also be explained. If it were anyone else, like Crawford or Nagi, touching him, he would look a lot angrier.

On Schuldich's behalf, the expression on his face shows genuine happiness. True, Schuldich is by nature a flirt, which would mean that he was a touchy-feely sort of person, but with characters like Sakura Tomoe, and even Nagi, he has a much more malevolent look on his face while being flirtatious, or just downright teasing or taunting, like with Schreient. But, with Farfarello, he looks really... happy. And, dare I say, totally in love, like he's going to melt to the floor.
