Project Twin OFNA Hyper 21 8 Port NMT
Well, yeah, this is where I will keep you posted on the updates that I'm doing on my truck. Right now, I have a project going in an attempt to stick in 2 OFNA Hyper 21 8 Ports. Yep, that's right! 2.5hp per engine, 38,000RPM, and more torque then I can spare, pushing a soon to be 7 pound truck. How does that sound? Imagine pulling wheelies at 50mph when you hit 2nd gear on your way to well, only time will tell. This will turn out as one of the craziest things done in R/C history. It won't be just like any other twin engined T-Maxx or USA-1 or whatever. But for those who thought the NMT was a brittle truck, I will prove you wrong. Yes, videos and pictures of progress with be up. Every 2 weeks more and more money will be poured into the truck. Heck, that's all I got a job for.

OK, basically, I have a lot stuff. If you want to see everything I have gotten so far, and it's value, then download
this. Just for the record, the chassis cost 280$ to produce, it would most likely be sold for around 350-400$ if you were to buy it from Kolor-Kraft Titanium

I've only put in about $4015CAD for the conversion, that brings the total in my NMT to about $5100CAD, and around $6000 in terms of how much the truck is worth in parts. Nice eh?

Total cost TO DATE for JUST the conversion :  = $4015

Total amount of money dropped on NMT = $5100 roughly

VALUE of parts bought for conversion = $5030

Current sponsors: Kolor-Kraft Titanium, Wolfpack Radicals, Mossdog, Laterilus, RAMTech R/C

UPDATE (March 2, 2003): The Hyper 21 8 port is just too sexy to pass up... I'm probably going to go with it instead of the XTMs. They are 270$ each, so 540$ for both, but hey, 2.5hp, amazing torque, 38,000rpm, and awesome reliablity are way worth it! Also got the MX3, fuel tanks, and failsafe today.

UPDATE (March 11, 2003): Put some pics of the MX-3 up, guess I can change the name of the project to Project: Twin OFNA Hyper 21 8 Port NMT.

UPDATE (May 4, 2003): Haven't updated the page in a while, but the engines arrived at the hobby shop and I picked them up. Boy do they look MADDDD HOT. Also picked up some shock oil, and put some pics up. Pictures with the engines dry fitted on the truck will come soon. Now I am patiently awaiting for Steve of Kolor-Kraft Titanium to finish off the Extended/ Widened 4mm Titanium chassis with all holes drilled for both engines, then I can start fitting everything on.

UPDATE (May 25, 2003): Geocities was messed for a while for me, but anyways, bought some stuff today: GPM alloy front C-Hubs (2 pairs) + 1 Powerline aluminum rear lower arm mount + 1 Powerline aluminum front lower arm mount + Powerline Aluminum rear arms (2 pairs), 2 Hitec HS-645MG Servos, 1 Powerline Aluminum Drive Gear Mount, Powerline Aluminum Front knuckles (2 pairs). All came out to be around 590$, but the nice guys at A&J Hobbies gave it all for 510$. That's a lot of aluminum for the cash, lol. The project is taking shape, I will have pictures next week, with most of the stuff installed. Oh, and waiting for Gimpy to finish testing the super tough dogbones, once he's done, roughly 90$ will be sent out to him.

UPDATE (June 2, 2003): Went to A&J yesterday, bought a couple of nice 40$ air filters, glow plugs, some 3M nuts, and steering link. Getting pipes on next trip as well, along with some other cool stuff I hope, oh yeah, clutch nuts. Also ordered a couple of 22T clutch bell and captured ball ends off tower on Saturday, should be here in a couple weeks. Oh yeah since I'm running rear arms, C-Hubs, and steering knuckles in all 4 corners, the stock dogbones are too short. And I can't buy Gimpy's because his are too short as well. I will probably go with Kyosho 1/8 Buggy dogbones as they are nearly an inch longer than stock, which is what I need...

UPDATE (June 18, 2003) AH!! WHUTT!! Laterilus finished the body! Looking great, pics can be found in the pics section! I love it.

UPDATE (September 1st, 2003) DAMMMMNNNN Haven't updated in a while, too lazy, but my truck has come a long way, almost done now... Probably about another week now. Check pics and the forum. www.hpiforums.com

UPDATE (September 11, 2003) Took some pictures yesterday, bought another 430$ worth of stuff on Monday and Tuesday, added that to the evergrowing list that you can download up top. Oh, also RAMTech R/C is sending over some knock-offs for my wheels, so, that makes 5 sponsors.

UPDATE (November 8, 2003) Bah, I need my dogbones. That is about all that is keeping the truck from running right now. Also added some more pics.

UPDATE (January 1st, 2003) Sick! Happy New Year! Added more pics, and now going to update the parts list and upload it, got a lot more stuff to write down.
