                CT  Art Contest will accept any size artwork.

                If you want your art work to be considered for National Art Contest: National Painting Contest Rules:                     Entry must be no larger than 14" x 16"(including matting) and no smaller than 10" x  12" (including matting). Entries on materials other than canvas must be matted. No frames or glass will be sent to National Contest.. Pastels should be sprayed with a fixative. 
                All paintings must be original.
                
                 Bring stand or easel with your name and club on the stand for display at competitions.

                 The following information is to be attached to back of the painting: artist's name address, phone  number; medium and name of sponsoring club.
                  State Chairman Sends  Painting to national.
                   Judges will choose one painting to go to national from the blue ribbon winners in the painting  categories.

                 22. PHOTOGRAPHY -

                  CT State Photography Contest will accept any size photograph for competition.

                 If you want your photograph to be considered fot the GFWC National Photograghy Contest entry musbe at least 10" x 12" (including matting) and no larger than 14" x 16"(including matting). Entries must be matted. No frames or glass will be sent to National Convention Contest.

                The following information is to be on back of the photo: arrow drawn indicating the top; category  name; photographer's name, address, phone  number;  name of sponsoring club; brief caption telling the location and situation of the photo.

               Photos must have been taken during the contest year.

               Contestant must be amateur photographers: Earnings from photography must not exceed $500 annually.

                The blue ribbon winner in each category will go on to National Contest. If it meets the criteria described above. No frames or glass will be sent to national.

                 23. Quilt Contest

                 Quilts must be made during 2000- 2002 administration.

                 Quilts must be made of fabric; by hand, by machine or both.

                Theme: "Clubwomen through the Ages"

                Quilts must be no larger than 60 "x 60" and no smaller than 36" x 36"

                Technique: pieced, appliqued or otherwise embellished.

               Quilts must be made by one person.

                Precut or stamped kits are NOT eligible.

               Framed, incomplete, torn or soiled quilts will not qualify for judging.

                 address, phone number, sponsoring, club, and state: and description

                GFWC will assume no responsibility for lost or damaged quilts. Only entries packaged for return and                     including proper return postage will be returned.
