John and Aeryn floated down the wrecked corridor. Metal shrapnel slowly drifted
about in the air, the smell of burnt fabric and flesh lingered in the air,
exposed wires randomly sparked, giving the full impression that this was a dying
vessel. The floating corpses added to the already grizzly scene.John made his way down the corridor, his mind running at a hundred miles a
minute. "This ship was from Earth, it has to be, all the panels are in
English. And the name," he paused as he blanched at the sight of another dead
body they floated by. "The name of the ship is Agamemnon, that’s a ancient
greek warrior, the only ones who would name their ship after him would be
humans." John said as he looked about the derelict ship.Aeryn was very nervous; they had found this ship after Moya had detected a
temporal singularity collapse near the present location of the human ship.
D'Argo had wanted to starburst immediately, fearing a trap set by Crais. But
John had argued for staying and investigating. He had argued and convinced even
D'Argo that even the peacekeepers couldn't control temporal singularities and
even if they did, they couldn't have been able to plant the ship minutes after
the singularity had collapsed."What does this say?" asked Aeryn as she pointed at the closed doors in front of
them."It says this is Auxiliary Command. Help me open the doors," replied John.
It took several tries but they finally pried the doors open and floated into the
wrecked commander center. Burned out panels and little bits of metal floated
about the room. On the far side of the room, a layout of the ship covered the
wall, the lights eliminating the display flickering randomly. John floated over
to the display as Aeryn moved her flashlight around the room, surveying the
damage."Aeryn, I found out where we are," called John from across the room.
Aeryn pushed off a chair next to her and glided over to Crichton gracefully, her
hair trailing behind, fanning out as she went."We're here, the bridge is...up six decks and over here." John traced a path on
the board as he spoke."Fine, but first see if you can restore gravity, I am tiring of bouncing off the
bulkheads." asked Aeryn.John floated across the room, going from console to console, until he stopped at
one.
"It says there is gravity only on the first four decks, but there is atmosphere
up there like the rest of the ship," replied John as he tapped at several
controls. He spun around in midair and floated across the room to any other
panel and typed away at it."What are you doing?" asked Aeryn, looking over John's shoulder.
"Trying to access their database, I'm trying to access their log ent..." The
panel went blank and the lights in the room shifted from white to a crimson red."Warning unauthorized personal in Auxiliary Command, security alert!" droned the
computer as klaxon alarms sounded."Crichton you idiot, you tripped the security system," shouted Aeryn. They
rushed out of the room as fast as they could, pushing off any surface they could
get their hands and feet on to propel them faster. Once they existed Auxiliary
Command, they continued down the corridor. Suddenly a pair of doors swished
open as they floated past. Aeryn swung her pulse rifle around ready to fire,
but found the lift empty."Aeryn, this lift might be able to take us to the bridge, the security locks
might not be in place there," explained John, as he floated into the lift.
Aeryn followed John into the lift and turned around as the lift doors closed."Le..le..lev..vel...vel please," stuttered the damaged computer voice.
"Bridge, and don't spare the horses," replied John with a smile. His smile broke
out into a laugh when he saw the look on Aeryn's face.
"Ah, Aeryn, I really need a camera. You have some of best Kodak moments I've
ever seen."Aeryn looked at him and shook her head in weariness of his completely senseless
remarks. They floated in the lift on the way to the bridge. Suddenly gravity
caught hold of them and they dropped to the floor with a loud thud. "Watch
that first step." John laughed as he stood up, rubbing his butt."Frelling human," growled Aeryn as the doors slid open.
Aeryn walked slowly toward the door, pulse rifle at the ready. Aeryn poked her
head out of the lift catiously, scanning the room for any visible threats but
found none. John and Aeryn walked into the bridge and found it, like the rest
of the ship, a mess. Dead bodies were slumped over consoles, and panels and
lights sparked randomly. The bridge looked ominous, bathed in crimson from the
emergency lights. John moved toward the front of the bridge heading for what he
hoped to be the helm.Aeryn walked about the bridge, taking in the layout. Against the wall between
two lifts, what looked like the tactical and ship operations stations sat
elevated higher than the rest of the bridge. Below the tactical and operation
stations, in what looked like the command chair, a body was slumped over a
display. On either side of the chair, display screens scrolled various
unreadable data. Aeryn looked over at John to find him tapping away at a
station."Have you found any?" asked Aeryn as she moved down toward the command chair.
"Well, this is Sherman class assault cruiser. She has a hell of a lot of
armaments, pulse cannons, fusion pulse interceptors, and six shield generators.
Aeryn you ever heard of anything called a slicer beam?" asked John as he
scrolled down the screen.Aeryn ran over to John when he asked about the slicer beams. "Did you say slicer
beams?" asked Aeryn looking at the readout she knew she couldn't read."Yeah, what is it?" asked John, wanting to know why Aeryn was worked up over it.
"Slicer beams are the most powerful energy weapon available, they can cut
through any known shielding in existence, and only Peacekeeper Assault cruisers
carry them," replied Aeryn."Well, I guess we think the same, assuming this really is a human ship, which I
strongly believe it is," remarked John as he kept tapping away at the controls.
Aeryn turned and began to walk toward the command chair, when John called her
back."Aeryn, I'm into the logs. I'm playing the last entry."
On the main screen, a massive battle appeared. Various capitols ships similar
in design to the assault cruiser fired in every direction. Off to the left
side of the screen, a peacekeeper command carrier erupted into a cloud of metal
and fire as it was engulfed by it's own burning oxygen. Several prowlers
screeched onto the screen from above, being closely persuaded by fighters that
reminded John of manta rays. Suddenly a red energy beam shot out from under
the ship, the beam ripped through a peacekeeper destroyer, cutting the ship in
half. "A slicer beam," whispered Aeryn as she continued to watch the carnage.
Out of the corner of his eye, John saw two command carrier fire frag cannons
toward the camera angle. Aeryn and John turned their heads to watch as the
energy pulses impacted. The image seemed to shake, crackle and then go to
static."Well, now we know what happened, but not how it got here, I'll keep looking in
their logs," said Crichton as he clicked off the image.
Aeryn turned back to the command chair and walked over to it. She reached down
and pulled the body out of the chair. When she saw the face she let out a loud
gasp in shock.John was at Aeryn’s side in a flash. "What, what's the....matter." John's voice
trailed off as he saw the face of the body Aeryn was standing over.It had long silvery hair, with touches of black sprinkled through it. The face
was aged from time and worry; the face was Aeryn's. He looked up to see Aeryn
staring down at the face in shock.
"What...what is going on?" asked Aeryn in shock.John knelt down next the body to look at the insignia on the body's uniform.
"Fleet Admiral Aeryn Sun," read John in utter shock and bewilderment.
Aeryn backed away from the body slowly, not knowing how to react at seeing
herself in old age, and dead.As John looked at the eerie face, something caught his eye. He thought he saw
the neck twitch very slightly. He looked closer and saw it again; it was a very
slight movement on the left side of the throat. He moved his hand, putting in on
the jugular and felt a very, very weak pulse.
"Holy shit!" exclaimed John. This snapped Aeryn back to reality. Aeryn leveled her rifle at her older self.
"What, John what's the matter?" demanded Aeryn, now wishing she had agreed with
D'Argo earlier."She, you, I mean it has a pulse, it's weak but it's still there," replied John.
John got up and ran back to the helm and typed away at it again.
"John, we're leaving now," ordered Aeryn, who was now glancing nervously around
the room and then back to her older self.
Suddenly the red lights went off and were replaced by soft white ones. "I've got
partial power back to the bridge. It looks like I have access to everything but
weapons, propulsion and the database," John said over his shoulder."D'Argo, you think you can dock Moya at these coordinates?" asked John over his
link.Aeryn walked over to John. "We are leaving now, Crichton," said Aeryn, right
into John's face."No, we're not leaving till I've found out how this ship got here. It's obvious
it's from the future as you can see, so that means advanced technology,
starcharts, maybe even wormhole technology. We're not leaving till I'm
satisfied," shot back John, as he stood nose to nose with Aeryn."The future? What is going on over there?" demanded D'Argo over John's com unit.
"Just dock Moya and have Zhaan ready with a stretcher," replied John as he
turned back to console."Why what is the matter, what is wrong?" demanded D'Argo again.
"Not what, but who, just have the damn stretcher ready, ok?" replied John.
***
As the hatch slid open, Zhaan stood ready with the stretcher, and D'Argo with
his qualta blade. Aeryn and John walked toward Zhaan, carrying a body."John who is...by the goddess," gasped Zhaan as she saw the face of the body as
John and Aeryn laid it on the stretcher."What in the name of Hezmana is going on," bellowed D'Argo as he saw the face on
the body."It's Aeryn, her future self if I'm right. She's still alive, but she has a
weak pulse," replied John as he began to push the stretcher.Zhaan fell into step next to John, "What do you mean the future?" asked Zhaan.
"Aeryn and I saw the last log entry for the ship. It was a massive battle
between the Peacekeepers and what I think are Earth forces.""What? Aeryn, tell me this frelling human has finally snapped," said D'Argo.
Aeryn shook her head. "I saw the log entry. There were ships similar in design
engaged in combat with a Peacekeeper fleet.""Yeah and from the looks it, I'd say the peacekeepers were going to lose," added
John.***
Zhaan ran various tests and scans on the unconscious body on the table, as the
others stood off to the side.
"Well, this is definitely you Aeryn, or will be you in this case. Her DNA
matches exactly with yours, as do several scars," reported Zhaan to the anxious
group."It could be a clone. Crais has my medical file, it would contain my DNA
sample," Aeryn said, desperately not wanting this woman to be her."But he does not know about Namtar's experiment on you. The remaining segments
of Pilot's DNA in your DNA matches exactly with hers," Zhaan replied as she
pointed at readout."Well, how is she?" asked John
Zhaan paused a moment and looked at Aeryn before she spoke. "She has a
concussion, and tachyon radiation poisoning, but she will live. It's just a
matter of when she will awaken.Aeryn went visibly livid. John began to step toward her, but she turned on her
heel and walked out of the room."Shit. Aeryn wait, hold up a sec," shouted John as he followed her out.
D'Argo and Zhaan looked at each other for a moment. D'Argo was the first to
break the silence. "Is this really Aeryn?"Zhaan nodded her head. "Unfortunately, I can not say I wish I were in Aeryn's
position. The idea of meeting your old self may be overwhelming, for both
parties."***
(EAS Agamemnon, Admiral's quarters)
Aeryn stood in the middle of the room, looking at her future self's
belongings. She moved to a table that had several pictures on it. The first
one she picked up made her gasp.In the picture, she stood with John, not looking much older that she was now;
both of them holding a baby in their arms. She had known for a long time now
she was in love John, but she just couldn't admit it to herself or John. But
here, in her hands was a picture of their children. She almost smiled at the
pride that beamed off of John in the picture. She put it down and picked up
another one.In this one, Aeryn and John had aged slightly, next to Aeryn stood an aged Jack
Crichton. He was thinner than he had been on the false Earth, with thin white
hair and a weathered, wrinkled face. A smile that almost matched John's in
pride was on his face. In the picture, John held another baby in his arms.
In front of Aeryn stood three children. The oldest one, a girl, who looked
eleven, had a long raven hair like hers. She wore a black shirt and pants that
were rolled up to the knees. The next child was almost as tall as his sister
and looked the same age. He had long curly blonde hair that was drawn back into
a ponytail and sideburns that went down to his jaw. He had green eyes, which
surprised her; she had never seen a sebacean with green eyes."He looks like trouble," she thought to herself. He reminded her of an old
friend, Tynk, she had known. She had trained with Tynk since they had been four
cycles old and in the entire time she had known him, he was always pulling
pranks on everyone, even the instructors. "He never did know when to quit,"
thought Aeryn fondly. "He has that same lively spark in his eyes that Tynk
had, I hope he isn't like Tynk. I had enough trouble handling him once." she
mused. The last one child in the picture looked like John. He looked to be about
eight. He had light brown hair that was cut like John's. He had a broad smile
that seemed to be missing a few teeth in the middle. He was wearing an IASA
shirt and white shorts with no shoes. She glanced over more of the pictures. Many of them were of John, herself or
their children in various places. The last one caught her attention; she
reached over and picked it up. John and she had aged in this picture. John's
hair was brown but it had touches of silver around the temples. He had
wrinkles like his father had in the other picture, but not so many. He had the
same beaming smile like in all the other pictures. Aeryn noticed she hadn't
aged as much as John She still had her long black, but there were touches of
silver in her hair, and her face was a bit more weather as well.In the picture, her oldest daughter wore a uniform similar to the one her older
self had been wearing. Her oldest daughter stood at attention but had not been
able to stop from smiling. She looked like she was Aeryn's age, from the look
of her; she had the same commanding, in control appearance Aeryn always had.
Her oldest son however was not wearing a uniform; rather he was wearing a black
t-shirt with symbol on it, green camouflage pants and black boots. Aeryn
frowned when she took a closer look at his hair. The sides of his head were
closely cropped, almost to his scalp, with sideburns down to his jaw and a
bronze colored goatee. The top of his head in contrast to the sides had long
blonde hair, which he had in tight braids that hung down to his shoulders.. In
the picture, her son was leaning on an instrument that John had shown her on the
false Earth, a guitar. John had explained that people in musical bands played
it, along with other instruments. He stood relaxed, an easy smile on his
lips. He still had that look of trouble in his eyes. Her younger son looked to be about nineteen. He was wearing a tan uniform that
she had remembered seeing on the false Earth. It had a strange symbol on it,
on the right breast of the uniform, a planet was set over what John had once
told her was an anchor. The emblem glinted in the light of the picture. He
had close-cropped hair and a scar running the length of his right cheek. She
looked closer when she saw what looked like the rank pips from a command carrier
captain on his belt. "Where would he get a tho.." she answered her own
question when she thought back to the battle she had seen with John. Aeryn
smiled proudly at her son. He would eventually defeat a command carrier and
take its captain's pips. Her youngest child, a girl, who looked to be about ten, stood grinning ear to
ear in a green dress with different types of flowers on it. She had long
golden hair, and blue eyes.Next to her oldest her son she noticed perplexed, stood what looked like a half
delvian, half sebacean. "What in hezmana.." she thought. The half breed had
long white hair that had died blue and green strips in it. He wore cloths
similar to her elder son and held guitar in his hands. "Maybe they will be in
one of those bands John talked about." she said to herself. But the more she
thought about it, the less it made scene, "Why would I mate will a delvian if I
am with John?" she thought puzzled. "It would be impossible to become pregnant
by one anyway, they are flora based."Aeryn stood there for a moment, admiring the children she would one day have.
"That hair though," she said out loud to herself, looking at her oldest son.
"Not when he's my child he won't have it." Aeryn studied the picture a moment
longer. She then broke off the frame of the picture, slid out the picture,
folded it and put in her vest pocket.
She looked around room a moment longer and then walked out the door and down the
corridor. As Aeryn walked down corridor back to the human bridge, her com unit chirped.
"Yes, what is it?" asked Aeryn.D'Argo's deep voice came over the com unit. "I have found more survivors, deck
18, section delta."***
Aeryn's eyes opened then closed against the bright light. "Report," called
Aeryn. But no one responded. "I said, report," ordered Aeryn as she sat up and
opened her eyes. Before her was the last thing she was expecting, Zhaan. "Zhaan,
what are you doing on the Agamemnon," asked Aeryn in shock.Zhaan had heard Aeryn stirring in the infirmary and walked back into the room.
She found the older Aeryn sitting up, staring at her, visibly shocked. "You are
not aboard the Agamemnon, Aeryn, you are on Moya."
Aeryn slid off the bed, onto her feet."What is Moya doing in the Falna Sector?" asked Aeryn, moving around the room.
Aeryn, you might wish to sit down before we discuss this further," replied Zhaan
as she moved after the elder Aeryn. At that moment John turned the corner and walked into med bay. "Zhaan, D'Argo
found more...survivors." John came to a halt mid stride when he saw the older
Aeryn standing barely a foot from him."John!" shouted Aeryn in utter joy. She threw her arms around him and hugged
him as hard as she could, trying to hold back tears. "No, you're dead, you can't
be...." Aeryn stepped back as her voice trailed off and her eyes began to shed
tears of joy and confusion.John stood were he was, not sure what to say or do. He saw Zhaan moving next to
Aeryn. "Um...Hi," was all he could think of saying."I'm dead aren't I, this is what you called heaven," replied Aeryn as she threw
herself again at John, kissing him this time.John managed to pull the older Aeryn off of himself.
"No one is dead, we're on Moya," he replied, holding Aeryn's arms.Zhaan put an arm around Aeryn, but Aeryn shrugged it off.
"Then how, you're so young, before we..," said Aeryn as tears ran down her face.Zhaan chose the silence after Aeryn's question to finally speak. "Aeryn we found
the Agamemnon adrift, we believe your ship became caught in a temporal
singularity which pulled your ship back in time. We found you on the bridge of
your ship unconscious and brought you to the infirmary."Bad timing seemed to curse the crew that day, because Aeryn came into the room
carrying a crewmember of the Agamemnon. "Zhaan, we need another stretcher,
D'Argo found sever..." Aeryn came to a dead stop and dropped the man she was
carrying when she saw her older self, standing inches from Crichton, tears
rolling down her face.Aeryn's eyes went wide when she saw her younger-self standing at the doorway,
staring back at her.***
Dead silence hung in the air for several moments. Zhaan stood next to the older
Aeryn. Eight hundred years of experience had not prepared her for what had just
happened. John stood looking at one Aeryn and then at the other, his mouth
slightly.Aeryn, the younger one, stood at the doorway, eyes locked with her older self's
eyes, waves of pain, sorrow, and regret poured out of the elder Aeryn’s eyes.D'Argo's voice finally broke the uneasy silence. "Crichton, get down here,
several of them are beginning to wake up.""Ah D'Argo, I'll....head right over." replied John as he slowly backed out the
room.Zhaan stood there a moment longer and then decided to leave the two Aeryn's
alone, and left, following John with several medical kits."Did you defeat them?" Aeryn finally asked her older self.
Aeryn blinked when her younger self asked a question. "I'm sorry?"
"Did you win the battle against the Peacekeepers?" asked Aeryn again as she
moved closer.Aeryn stood there for a moment, her mind racing at what was happening. "Yes, yes
we did, but they detonated a tachlyon warhead, it must have formed the
singularity."Aeryn watched as her younger-self moved closer, not knowing what to say or do.
"I thought, I thought I could finally be with him forever," gasped Aeryn trying
to keep control of herself.Aeryn watched as her older-self broke down into tears. She stood, unsure of what
to do next. She finally moved next to herself and put an arm around her
comfortingly. Her older self turned and buried her face in Aeryn's shoulder and
cried harder. They stood there for several moments, not moving. Finally the
older Aeryn stepped away and composed herself. "This is not how a peace....a
fleet admiral acts," She scolded herself out load. She stood and straightened
her uniform. "You don't know how happy I am to see John again, I've hurt so
much since he passed away, you don't know how much it hurt to be without him,
but I have him again." she said, wiping away the last of her tears."Listen, I don't care who or what you are, but if you go near John again, you
won't be among the living for long. Crais is nearby and from what I saw of your
ship, it would be disaster if he got a hold of it. So either you find a way
back to where ever you come from, or you scuttle that ship." said Aeryn, staring
daggers in to her older-self's eyes. The older Aeryn straighten herself and got in her younger-self's face. "John is
mine, you don't love him like I do, and about my ship, do what I say, when I say
it and Crais won’t stand a chance against her.""Fine, you can start by helping your remaining crew," replied the younger Aeryn
as she turned on her heel and strode out of the room. Aeryn paused at the door
and turned back to her older self. "I do love John, stay away from him, or you
will regret it."***
(13 arns later, mess hall on Moya)
John sat in the mess hall munching on food cubes and recording his latest report
to his Dad.
"Well Dad, I seriously think the universe is out drive me over the edge. We
found a damaged ship today; it was an Earth warship from the future. And guess
who was on it, no not me thank god, Aeryn, Aeryn was on the ship. There we were
on the bridge when Aeryn and I found her, the older version of course. And it
gets better, the older Aeryn was alive, and I guess she out lives me because
when she saw me she thought she was in heaven and I was waiting for her. We
found and revived the surviving crew of her ship, and we are repairing the ship
as fast as possible, hopefully we can fix her before Crais finds us. Dad, I've
been meaning to ask you a question for a while now. Did you piss off God so much
that he decided to take it out on me? Because I keep falling deeper into the
Simpson's Halloween special every week," said John as he clicked off the tape
recorder and finished his last food cube.Zhaan walked into the room, grabbed a tray of cubes and sat down next to John,
"John, I am worried about Aeryn, our Aeryn.""I know Zhaan, she won't even look at me, this whole situation is really messing
with her head badly," replied John as he headed for Command.***
John found Aeryn Command, his Aeryn. She was leaning over a display, going over
some readouts. John walked quietly up next to her. "So, how you handling all
this?" asked John.Aeryn stood up straight and stuffed something into her pocket, "Fine, uh, I am
doing fine."John reached for her pocket. "Wait, what is this?" asked John as he pulled it
from her pocket."No, leave it..." Aeryn stopped protesting when John saw the picture. Aeryn
barely contained her smile when she saw his reaction. His left eye twitched
several times, and his mouth moved, but no sound was uttered. He eyes began to
dart from Aeryn, then to the picture and then back to Aeryn.John stood there for several minutes in silence, staring at the picture of his
future children. "You broke into her quarters, didn't you?" John finally asked."They are my quarters too, so is this picture," replied Aeryn defensively.
John looked back to the picture again with a slight smile. "God must really be
pissed at me, we're going to have twins."Aeryn looked at John confused. "Twins, as in a pair, you mean that your women
can give birth to two at the same the same time, I though they give birth to
children close together?" asked Aeryn in shock and horror."Yeah, well not at the same time, they usually come out several minutes apart.
But human women can carry more that two, the record is eight." replied John.Aeryn's eyes went wide at this. "Eight children, at the same time?"
John's smile widened at Aeryn's disbelief. "Yep, but usually we have them one
at a time, twins are rare, having eight in one pregnancy has only happened once
that I heard of."
John looked up at Aeryn a little confused. "Wait a minute, sebaceans give
birth to two separate children at the same time?""Yes, we can fertilize separate eggs at the same time, or we can fertililze eggs
while we are pregnant, the average fetal development is four months, they
infants are born small, so we can carry several at a time, how long is your
fetal development?""Nine months."
"Nine months, that is horrifying!" shouted Aeryn in surprise.
Suddenly Moya shook violently and Aeryn was thrown onto John. As they stood
up, Pilot appeared in his holo-display. "Two marauders have boarded the
Agamemnon. Admiral Sun has broke the docking seal and separated Moya from the
Agamemnon.""Pilot is everyone aboard?" asked John.
"Yes, Moya is detecting a peacekeeper carrier, it's Crais's." replied Pilot,
fear rising in his voice. On the tactical display, Crais's carrier appeared.
"Agamemnon, there is a carrier in bound, can you maneuver?" asked Aeryn as she
opened a channel. The older Aeryn appeared on the main viewer. "Yes, but we can't out run her,
we're scuttling the ship, I'm sending charts of surrounding space.""Aeryn, send the charts of Earth." asked John.
The older Aeryn smiled, "I can't, it wouldn't be right." Tears began to form
at the corners of her eyes. "I'll see you again, whereever I may roam, you'll
be watching and waiting for me when my time comes." replied Aeryn, now very
distant looking."Wait, Aeyrn you can evacuate your crew over to Moya, there is plenty of room."
asked John, knowing what Aeryn was planning."I love you John." With that she closed the channel. On the main viewer, the
Agamemnon turned toward the approaching carrier. Prowlers streaked out of
their hangers, heading for the cruiser.***
(Crais's carrier, Command)
Crais watched as the unknown vessel turned toward them. "What race is that?"
asked Crais."Sir, vessel matches no known type of vessel, sir marauders reports they are
engaging sebaceans, and delvians on the vessel." reported the first officer."Sir, that ship is arming weapons, its arming slicer beams!" shouted the
tactical officer.Crais turned in shock at his tactical officer. "What!?" asked Crais.
"Sir, it's hailing us." reported First officer.
Crais and the rest of the crew gasped in shock as an aged Aeryn Sun appeared on
the main screen, behind her, various sebaceans in strange uniforms moved about."Officer Sun, hand over Crichton and kill I will commute the death sentence."
The old Aeryn laughed. "Go frell yourself, I'll die with a smile knowing my
son will have cut your command pips from your dead body."Aeryn cut the channel, and she was replace with a panorama of stars.
"Sir, there is a temporal singularity forming off our port-bow, sir two vessel
are emerging from it." called tactical officer. On the main screen, a half Delvian, half sebecean male appeared in a uniform
similar to the one Aeryn had been wearing. "This is the Earth Alliance cruiser
Typhus to peacekeeper cruiser, withdraw or be destroyed, you are out gunned and
out numbered."Crais's first officer approached him. "Sir, three more enemy vessels have
existed the singularity, we should withdraw and inform Fleet Command, the
leviathan has already starburst out of sensor range."Crais ground his teeth in seething rage before he turned to the helmsman.
"Take us out of here, we'll deal with them another day."***
As Aeryn watched Crais's carrier tuck it's tail beneath it's legs and run, she
let a broad smile spread across her face."Admiral, the Typhus is hailing us." Reported the helmsman.
***
(Moya, awhile later)
John found Aeryn standing in Command alone. He walked up behind her and put
his arms around her. "How you doing sweet heart?" asked John.Aeryn didn't answer, she just leaned back into Crichton and closed her eyes.
"That bad ay, same here." John said, hugger her tighter.
"She loved you," said Aeryn. Silence enveloped them and they stood there a
long time.
"And so do I." Aeryn said as she turned and buried her face in John's shirt."I know, I know." replied John, patting Aeryn on the back.
"I barely think that...that I.. that I love you. There I was, crying thinking
that I had died and was in heaven with you." sobbed Aeryn, unable to hold in
all her emotions she had managed to suppress during the ordeal. "Why do you
always do this to me?" sobbed Aeryn. "Why do you always have to tear me up
like this, do you always have to be so damn...human."John lifted up Aeryn face so he could look her in the eyes. "Cause your doing
the same to me." Aeryn stood there for a moment, watery eyes staring into
John's. She finally closed the distant between them and kissed him. When they broke away from each other, John looked at Aeryn. "You know, if
we're going to have all kids, we'd better start, times a wasting." Aeryn
blinked at John in surprise, but saw the twinkle in his eyes and she laughed.
They stood there far a long time, holding each other and laughing.Fin
