John Crichton sat in the open cockpit of Farscape 1 going over the
readouts from his instrument panel. "Yep, that’s perfect. I should have
no problems with energy fluctuations now." He sighed and leaned back
into his seat, rubbing his eyes with his hands.

He had been working on the module for nearly five arns now, he was
hungry and tired but he knew that he had to get moving. "If the others
found out what I was doing they would not be happy with me...especially
Aeryn." He sighed again as memories of recent events flooded his mind.

In the past month since he had attacked Rygel in the center chamber,
Aeryn had been hovering around him constantly, never letting him out of
her sight. She was obsessed with trying to prove to him that she could
be trusted, it was as if she was fighting a war to win his heart.

"In a way I guess she is." John murmured, climbing out of the Farscape
and leaping down to the floor below. *It’s not as if I don’t have
feelings for her anymore, I do. It’s just that I’ve trusted her too many
times, been hurt too many times, I just can’t deal with it anymore. I
need to take a step back, so that I can figure out where our
relationship is headed, and I can’t do that on Moya.*

"Hey Pilot, is everything ready to go?"

Pilot’s image came up in the projector on the far wall. "Yes Commander,
the others are asleep, although I wish you would reconsider your
decision." The concern in his voice was painfully obvious to John.
"Sorry Pilot, but it’s better for everyone if I left Moya for awhile,
hopefully by the time you guys finish this supply run for the Mortoks
I’ll have everything figured out in my head."

At least he hoped he did, it would take Moya at least two months to
transport Vyronium Crystals from Zendek Prime to a small colony of
Mortoks in the asteroid belt at the edge of this solar system. In the
meantime, he would take a little vacation time down on Zendek Prime to
figure things out.

"Well Pilot, it’s time for me to hit the road, tell the others good bye
for me." He waved to Pilot’s image as he climbed into the Farscape and
powered up her engines and started to move towards the hanger doors.

Pilot solemnly watched as Crichton flew his little module away from Moya
and disappeared into the dark void of space. "Take care of yourself
Crichton, I hope you find what you are looking for." With a last glance
at the empty hanger, Pilot turned his attention back to Moya as they
entered starburst.
