Losing Touch

1. You said you didn't want to come,
You said you wouldn't fit in.

You don't know the language; You can't learn it.

    I dread losing touch,

And if I stay here I will,

But you came to find me,

And now I have to leave.

2. You asked me to come,
   I said no.

But now the road is still lies there waiting, hoping.

'I will not fit in' my mind says,

But I come to find you.

    Now I'm locked in here,

And now we have to leave.

3. I have to leave,

   Leave it all behind.

   But I will for you,

I will not lose touch with you,

   I refuse.

4. You have to leave,

    Leave it all behind.

    But you will for me.

It wasn't real; but it felt so,

I will not lose touch with you,

    I refuse.

5. We leave,

Not to stay in touch with them,

But there are others we wish we could.

All we have is each other.

    We will never lose touch,

    We refuse.
