THIS FIRST PART IS REALLY, REALLY SHORT! Forgive me. Part Two will be posted later tonight, or tomorrow sometime.
Aeryn Sun was walking down the corridors of Moya. Something she had done a thousand times before; walking, running, sauntering, alone, with someone else, it felt like it was all the same. She had had this feeling a thousand times before as well. It was the feeling that she had every time before they met up with Crais, and before Namtar, and the mad Delvians, and Maldis, and Scorpius. Just as she was thinking about Scorpius, she rounded the corridor and ran right smack into John.
"Hey, sorry Sunshine," he said, but she didn’t respond, "Where’s your head?"
"Somewhere in the stars," she responded cryptically then sighed as she gave him a big hug.
"Whoa! What’s the occasion?" he asked, sounding surprise and pleased. "What do you mean?" she asked, letting go of him. "You never just walk up to somebody and give them a hug," he responded.
"Yes I do," she answered, he just raised an eyebrow, "Alright, alright, there is something going on."
"I thought so . . ." he sighed and looked at her sideways as they started walking, "Do you wanna talk about it?"
She looked back up at him and saw the look that she was giving him, so she said "Yes, I do."
They headed for the Terrace, when they entered, they went out to the farthest edge and layed down, "So what’s wrong, Sunshine?" "Well, it’s not really something that I really understand myself. I just have this weird feeling," she said, not knowing how to explain it really well.
"What sort of feeling?"
"I really don’t know. It’s like the feeling I get every time before something bad happens. It was before every time we met up with Crais, it was before Maldis, and Namtar, and . . ." she paused and looked at him to judge his reaction at what she was going to say next, " . . .Scorpius." she saw exactly what she was afraid she would see: He went tense, and his mouth formed a grim line. He was still trying to recover from what Scorpius had done to him . . .from what Scorpius had taken from him: His privacy, all of his memories, his entire life was stripped and lay open for everyone to see.
"So it’s a feeling of dread?"
"Yes."
"Alright, well there isn’t a whole lot that we can do right now, if something is wrong, Pilot would inform us right away."
"I know, I just needed someone to talk to," (someone I love to be around me) she thought to herself.
"Alright, but if something bad happens again, you tell me whenever you get one of these bad feelings, you better start tellin’ people." "Alright, alright," she said as she moved closer to him and laid her head on his chest. He put his arm around her for another arn, and they just stared at the stars as they passed by. Until D’Argo commed them.
"Yeah, what is it D’Argo?" he said trying to rouse himself out of the daze he had been in, and he could see Aeryn was trying to do the same thing.
"Talyn." Was all he had to say.
