To all the above questions, be specific, “I was awesome!”,
is not sufficient.
For all levels of runners, the ability of the mind to get the
most out of the body is the
difference between a poor and good performance, and a
good and great one.
The mind is the most important single factor. Remember
how you practice this
in our training session. Take this same toughness
to the race.
If you change your race plan, before or during the race, make
sure that you can give
a convincing reason to me, and more important, to yourself.
I know that most of
you will Run: Strongly, Smoothly, Smiling
with Spunk, Spirit and Style.
To the small minority: ‘ Shut up, and run!’
