Function of Pantyhose

I concluded from many ladies that women wear pantyhose for some common reasons -

  1. Keep legs warm in cold weather.
  2. Sport or drama etc.
  3. Show off beautiful legs.
  4. Fashion. Match with jacket, dress, skirt etc.
  5. Assist blood circulation.
  6. A code of formal dressing.

Found from the www, I discovered a lot of male, like me, like to wear pantyhose for many reasons too. Moreover, I discovered that the reasons are very similar to the above! So, why is the public not accept men wearing pantyhose?

  1. Can't pantyhose keep guys' legs warm in cold weather? Men don't need warmth in winter?
  2. Men don't play sports like dancing, jogging, diving etc.?
  3. Don't guys have beautiful legs (after shaved) to show off?
  4. Can't pantyhose be a fashion for men? E.g. when we are wearing colorful t-shirt and shorts? Isn't it that a colorful pantyhose can help more?
  5. Don't men need to stand for long time and need something to help blood circulation of legs?
  6. Can't pantyhose replace men's silk socks for formal/business dressing?

Moreover, pantyhose is also a practical clothing for curing. See this piece of information which is about the advice from a doctor.

A co-worker of mine was told by his doctor that his blood pressure was too low. He had a choice of taking medication with undesirable side effect or wear support pantyhose. He wasn't in the habit of wearing traditionally women's clothing and did not admit enjoying wearing them, but you could see the enthusiasm when he talked about them.

Have you checked out Dale Miller's home page? He is that professor at the University of Arkansas who has gone to work in shirt, tie, jacket, skirt, pantyhose and high heels.

(Please, before you refuse my comment, please forget about those 'fetish' that some men see pantyhose ONLY as a tool for sex. Without pantyhose, in fact they can still use rope, chain, or even TIE for the same purpose. So, are ties not for men?)

Comparing to tens of years ago, women is very lucky that they now can wear anything. If they like, they can wear dress to show the feminine side. When they are in the opposite mood, they can wear suit, tie, etc. which are traditionally for men. And more, we accept women in MUSCLE!

Likewise, there is also some feminine side of men! If we are in such mood at a certain moment, why can't we wear some soft silky thing like pantyhose? Remember that we are not talking about wearing them 168 hours a week and are not forcing all men to wear them. We are ONLY talking about the rights to choose!

In the past, men and women are shaped to represent different roles in the society. Men always need to be strong, gentle, make money for family, cannot cry etc. Women always need to be soft, dependent on men, must not stand out etc.

Now, psychologists also proved that both men and women had both mascaline and feminine attributes. We are also educated not to shape our children into 'typical' male or female because there is no such 'typical' thing and that the children may not develop in his/her own way naturally.

We start to accept men in long hair, in earrings etc. Why not pantyhose?

Hi, friends, let's start the fight!
