Seventeen-year-old Daniel Fassett has made a name for himself as a force to be reckoned with in only a few short years of racing. His racing experience includes go-cart racing, open wheel modified, street stocks and snowmobiles.
He has amassed seven go-cart championships in only four years of racing at Caroga Creek Raceway. In September 2000, Fassett debuted at Fonda Speedway. He qualified for his first 358 open wheel modified feature. Other 2000 season highlights include second and fourth place finishes at the Northeast Nationals, King of Dirt Series Championship, and WKA North East Regionals with third and fourth place finishes.
Fassett combines his cool temperament and knowledge of racing on the track to find his "line" which takes him to the front of the pack and parlays his competitive spirit and natural talent to lead him to victory lane. Off the track he puts aside his competitive spirit and is known to drivers as a friend and source of information on track conditions and racing techniques.
Daniel has traveled throughout New York competing at tracks such as Caroga Creek Raceway, Utica-Rome Raceway, Frozen Ocean, Can-Am Raceway, and Fonda Speedway. In order to broaden his racing experience and quench his love of racing in the limited off-season he spends his time racing snowmobiles and maintaining his equipment.
