This is Poco! She lived till she was almost twenty two.
This is a picture of Kiki! He was a tough outdoor cat but real affectionate too. He was killed by a bobcat early one spring many years ago. Nancy and I tracked the bobcat in the snow up the side of the mountain out back and found Kiki's body under a rock overhang covered by some leaves in the same fashion that he used to hide his own kills himself. He was pretty messed up and his head was almost chewed off and on his head he had the razor like claw marks that a cat makes when he fights another cat. That along with the sighting of the bobcat by our neighbors and the tracks confirmed that it was a bobcat rather than a canine. I guess he died the same way he lived.
Stinkey. When she showed up at our house one winter day her right eartip was frostbitten. It dried up and fell off. She had a lot of gas at first so we named her Stinkey. She was incredibly soft and malleable but she had some health issues and died after a few years of struggle.
Che'...He was the most wonderful cat. He got hit by a car and it tore my heart out.
Lura... She casually walked in front of a car one day. We don't know why but Nancy thinks it was because of head injuries. At our old apartment Lura used to take the opportunity to go in and out of the door just as it was swinging shut. I don't know why she did it that way but she got "clonked" in the head several times.
