This is the spotted knapweed. I think I took this in a drainage ditch in Billerica MA next to the parking lot of where I used to work.

I don't know yet. When I get an identification on them I'll post it. At any rate both of these came from the devider strip next to the parking lot in Billerica MA.
I love the smell of geraniums, not the flower but the leaves and stems. When I was in high school I worked at a local greenhouse that cultivated geraniums and we'd have a big sale in the spring. Geraniums will always remind me of warm spring days full of hope.
