On Sat. June 9 I attended the 11th annual Flint Hills run sponsored by the Sunflower Chapter of the Antique Motorcycle Club of America. I have attended 5 of these runs and am never disappointed. As usual I was only able to photograph a few of the bikes as I followed the back of the pack to help wherever I can. There were about 32 bikes on the run. According to my odomoter the ride was about 180 miles going south out of Council Grove, Kansas. Tami and I took our Harley sidecar down due to the Indian still out of commision. We arrived on Fri. and camped at the lake with our friends Matt and Melanie of MM Choppers of Galva, Ks and Don and Lanora of Wichita. The ride down Fri.,with Toad and his new Road King was really relaxing and very enjoyable. ( read that to mean no breakdowns) Temps were very comfortable the whole weekend. Enjoy the pictures and see some of the variety of machines that do make the ride, I only wish I could have photographed more of them. |
