The Element of Earth The element of earth is associated with monetary gain, death, rebirth, and growth. North, winter, midnight and the color green are also associated with this element. When setting up an altar, the symbol used is typically placed in the northern location and can be a bowl of dirt of salt, a green or brown candle, or anything that makes you think of this element. Within the element of earth, the goddess is manifested as Demeter, Gaia, Nephthys, Persephone, Rhea, and Rhiannon. The god takes the forms of Adonis, Athos, Cernunnos, Dionysis, Pan, and Tammuz. Bovine, snakes, and deer are animals of this element. The sun signs belonging to this element are Virgo, Capricorn, and Taurus.

The Element of Air The element of air is associated with knowledge, dreams, imagination and intuition. East, spring, dawn and the color yellow are also associated with this element. When setting up an altar, the symbol used is typically placed in the eastern location and can be an athame, incense, a yellow candle, or anything that makes you think of the darkeness of the forest and the deep richness of the earth's soil. Aradia, Arianrhod, Cardea, Nuit, and Urania are goddess of air, while Enlil, Khephera, Mercury, Shu, and Thoth are the god. Birds are the animal of the element of air. The sun signs associated with this element are Gemini, Libra, and Aquarius.

The Element of Fire The element of fire is associated with change, passion, and the will. South, summer, noon, and the color red are also associated with this element.
