Rock and Roll Folks
Carmen Grillo, former guitarist with Tower of Power.  Carmen also used the preamp I developed but it's not clear if he really dug it or it was just because we gave it to him.

Steve Brown, guitarist for a New Jersey metal band called Trixter.  We were kinda into the thumbs-up thing in those days.  Steve didn't use the guitar preamp.  Loser!
No wonder you've never heard of his band.
Jack Casady, Hot Tuna and Jefferson Airplane bass player.  He really does move his eyebrows a lot when he plays!  Here he is contemplating how to elude me without my noticing.

"If that guy mentions that stupid preamp one more time..."

Jack occasionally used G-K amps but at this show he was using an SWR and wouldn't plug into the G-K we offered him.  Musicians!

Crap, I was skinny in those days!
Here I'm giving the late John Entwistle a demo of the preamp.  John's unique sound was a result of him splitting his signal into several frequency bands and processing each one differently.  He used guitar preamps for an overdrive sound in the midrange.  John was so soft spoken that I could not hear a thing he said even when he wasn't playing.  I'm serious!  I think his lips were moving but no sound came out. This made me a little uncomfortable.  I felt better later when he ordered five of the units for his touring rig.  Five!  I guess he needed some spares.
