Bio Holly was born in 3rd of December 1973 when her mother, Lauralei, was just 15 years old. Lauralei wanted to persue an acting career and so at just 7 years old Holly and her mother moved to New York. Holly decided to follow in her mothers footsteps and she enrolled at The Professional Childrens School and by the age of 10 she was featuring in TV Commercials and magazine adverts. Her first film role was with Susan Sarandon and Don Johnson in Sweet Hearts Dance as Debs Boon. After this she featured in many low budget films such as Dr Giggles, but her biggest break came in a TV series called Picket Fences, in whihc Holly played Kimberly Brock opposite Lauren Holly. For this role Holly gained an emmy nomination for Best Young Actress in a new Television Series in 1993 and a Young Artist Award. Holly continued to impress audiences and gain a fan following, appearing in films such as Daughters, Sins of Silence and Loves Deadly Triangle(aka Swearing Alligence) But again her next big hit was to be in another TV Series, Charmed. Piper Halliwell-Wyatt is probably her best known and loved role to date and she has fast become the star of the show in many peoples eyes, despite it also starring talented actresses Alyssa Milano, Rose McGowan and previously Shannen Doherty. Trivia Holly and the father of her baby, David, got married on valentines day 2004-congrats!! Holly and David have had their first child in April 2004. Lauralei registered Holly as Holly Marie Combs as she thought it sounded rhythically better, and although Holly doesn't mind what she is called she tends to go with Holly because her mother calls her Holly Marie when she angry. She gained the scar visible in her eyebrow while she was learning to walk and fell onto a mable table. She has many hobbies including gardening, horse riding and looking after her many pets. She's a spokesperson for breast cancer along with Alyson Hannigan to help promote awareness about the disease. |
